Training in the rain with Greg Smith.
Thank you Greg for an awesome clinic.
Looking for to June. Hopefully with better weather!
Many thanks to my sponsors Neil White from #saddlesolutionsnz and Bruce Barton from #bartonblacksmiths
What a weekend at Central Otago Dressage. I would like to acknowledge Becci Ireland Central Lakes Equine Ltd (and personal vet) for being the overall show sponsor and class sponsors. The small hard-working committee with limited volunteers who run such a fabulous, fun show and of course the judges that have to concentrate for hours on end. Thank you! We couldn’t do this sport without you.
I had a great time on both my rides. My lovely Velvet winning the overall musical freestyle trophy (super stoked my favorite passion is to dance with my horse) and the stunning Southern Z (owned by Jenny Kendall) cracked the 70% at Level 3 after not competing for a couple of years. Exciting times ahead for this horse.
On a personal level I would like to thank my sponsors Neil White from Saddlesolutionsnz and Stubben saddles for the amazing new saddle and bridle. WOW… Velvet and I really felt the difference and I feel super privileged to be able to ride in such quality gear. Bruce Barton from Barton Blacksmith Services Ltd thank you for your ongoing sponsorship and passion for happy healthy horses. Mike and Rhoda Mountz from Grace Farms, your encouragement and support, it means the world, I can’t wait to have you back in NZ again.
Fun in the rain
We had fantastic clinic at Grace Farms with Greg Smith this weekend in spite of the rain Sunday morning.
Super excited almost as much as my trainer Greg 😁to get get 8x1 time changes.
Greg will be back next month for more fun in the sandpit. Watch this space for clinic dates.
The latest shipment of Dunstan horse feeds arriving to Grace Farms called for a gym work out. I think this is a sign of lock down madness 😂
What a fantastic fun summer we have had at Grace Farms in-spite of the somewhat variable weather conditions, heavy rains, incredible thunder and lightening storms, cool nights and some hotish days. Its been really exciting for us to see the equestrian center pumping with clinics, grazers and holiday visitors.
For your records:
ROCO are having their fun day on the 2nd of Feb and our next clinic is Tui Teka starting on the 8th of Feb for a week. We also have a Grand Prix dressage rider from England giving lessons in February/March (details to be finalized) and Olivia Roberston will be over from Queenstown for jumping lessons. Watch this page for more details.
With the improved surface the arena is getting lots of use, please make sure you book 24hrs in advance to avoid disappointment.
We have a couple of paddocks available with our holiday grazers leaving. Both short or long term agistment welcome. Special rates for long term grazers (over 3 months) . Along with your irrigated paddock you get your own private tack room, large yard and wash bay, free use of arenas and hacking tracks.
