About our presenter:
James is a professional dog trainer who has been working with dogs since 2012. James was trained as a traditional dogman and uses a modern approach to his work and training.

From 2013 - 2023 James started and ran Kuri Companion, offering dog walking, dog daycare and dog training services throughout the Wellington region. In this time James also became passionate about mentoring and helping others in the industry. Helping to create and better industry standards has become a priority and great motivation in James’ work. At the beginning of 2024 James and his wife Kristin started a structured daycare service called Canine Retreat servicing the Wairarapa Region.

James operates on the philosophy and belief that all dog handlers are in service of the dogs and all that he does is to create a better world for man’s best friend.
