My brother and sisters have all been SPONSORED… now it’s just me, still waiting.

Will you help me on my path to adoption?

Let me tell you a little about myself...

I’m a sweet girl who loves lounging in the sun and exploring the garden - it's my favourite place to be! I’m always on the lookout for something fun to sniff or a patch of sunshine to stretch out in.

I get along really well with other dogs and enjoy spending time with my foster brother. I like to be near him, but I’m also learning when to give him space and go chill on my own.

I’m playful, gentle, and love being close to my humans - especially if there’s a chance for a cuddle!

Boop! I’m Percy - a cuddle-loving, tail-wagging bundle of fun, and I’m on the hunt for my forever home!

My foster mum writes:

Percy is a sweet and affectionate, 11 week old, male, Staffy X Bulldog.

Good with dogs: Yes.
Good with cats: Yes.
Good with stock: Unknown.
Good with children: Yes.

Percy loves nothing more than being close to his people. He enjoys following you around the house, always curious and keen to be involved in whatever you’re doing. Percy is a playful, fun-loving pup who’s always up for a game of tug-of-war and never far from his favourite chew toy. He enjoys romping around with his foster dog mum and learning the ropes from her. Once he’s had his dose of fun, he’s all about the cuddles - there’s nothing he loves more than curling up in your lap for a cosy snooze.

He’s a charming little guy with a gentle nature and a soft spot for anyone with a treat. Percy loves meeting new people and is quick to make friends - his tail wags say it all! When it comes to other dogs, he can be a bit unsure at first, but he’s learning to build confidence and will come around in his own time.

Percy’s toilet training is going really well, and he’s starting to pick up basic obedience skills. He sleeps soundly in his crate all night and often chooses to rest there during the day when he needs a quiet moment. He also travels well in the car, making him an easy companion for outings and adventures.

If you are interested in adopting Percy and own your own home then please complete our adoption application form - https://airtable.com/apptS9QFkdVrQm2su/shrXmMrksf6Ci8dYQ

A $500 adoption fee applies to help us cover the costs of vaccinations, microchipping, desexing and flea/worm treatment.

Good with children: Yes.

Bailey's foster writes:

Bailey is a sweet little girl who loves nothing more than curling up on your lap to relax and unwind. She always wants to be close to her human family, though she’s also up for short bursts of fun - chasing her ball, playing with toys, and enjoying a game of fetch. With a low to medium energy level, she strikes a lovely balance between playful and calm.

She enjoys the company of other dogs, including our own, and interacts well with those she meets. While she can be a little unsure around loud noises, she was an absolute star at the Greytown Festival of Christmas, taking everything in her stride. Bailey travels well in the car and, as she grows, will no doubt love sitting up to take in all the sights - she’s naturally inquisitive and curious about the world.

Bailey is very friendly and loves meeting new people, greeting everyone with excited tail wags. Her toilet training is coming along nicely, and she sleeps in her crate for most of the night - it won’t be long before she’s sleeping right through.

We’ve started some basic training, and she’s already proving to be food-motivated and smart. With consistency, she’ll pick up the basics quickly. She would thrive in a home with another four-legged sibling, where she can enjoy companionship and learn good doggy manners.

Bailey will make a wonderful addition to the right family, and we’re so excited for her to find her loving forever home.

Bam is a 5 month old, male, Staffy X who is likely to be large once fully grown.

Good with dogs: Yes.
Good with cats: Unknown.
Good with stock: Unknown.
Good with children: Yes.

Bam's foster writes:

Bam is the most gorgeous pup! While he can be a little timid in new situations or when meeting unfamiliar dogs, he's already showing signs of growing confidence - and with time, patience, and love, he’ll continue to blossom.

He absolutely adores people and is happiest when he's around his humans. Bam is doing really well with his toilet training and sleeps soundly through the night in his crate.

He’s also starting to learn basic obedience and is showing great focus and willingness to please - making training a fun and rewarding experience for both him and his humans!

With a medium energy level, Bam would suit most loving families - whether you're up for adventures or enjoy a cozy cuddle on the couch. We believe he’d especially thrive in a home with an older, confident canine companion to help guide him and show him the ropes.

If you're looking for a sweet-natured pup with lots of love to give and a gentle soul, Bam might just be the perfect addition to your family.

All the way from Taranaki, these five adorable Rottweiler x Amstaff puppies are in need of generous SPONSORS!

CAN YOU HELP?

Their fosters write:

Photo 1: Red collar (female) - SPONSORED - Maple
This sweet little girl is bursting with personality! Full of confidence and curiosity, she was the first of her litter to meet the resident cat and explore her new surroundings - truly the leader of the pack. But don’t let her boldness fool you - sit nearby, and she’ll quietly sneak over for cuddles and happily fall asleep in your lap.

Photo 2: Orange collar (female) - SPONSORED -
This wee girl loves nothing more than lounging in the sun and exploring the garden. She's completely smitten with her foster brother and rarely leaves his side when he’s around. She’s also wonderfully respectful of his boundaries - if he needs a break, she’ll (reluctantly!) head off to chill on her own.

Photo 3: Green collar (male) - SPONSORED - Norm
This sweet little boy absolutely adores human company and loves to stay close for snuggles. He might be a little shy at first, but once he’s settled, he more than holds his own alongside his four sisters.

Photo 4: Yellow collar (female) - SPONSORED
This outgoing little pup loves chasing a ball around the yard. After playtime, she’s all about cuddles - her favourite spot to snooze is tucked right under your chin. She’s also endlessly curious and enjoys following the chickens around the yard.

Photo 5: Pink collar (female) - Pink has found her voice and loves being part of the action! She’s a lively, playful pup who enjoys a good chew toy and a game of chase with her littermates.

Remember Cloud?

This beautiful girl came into Chance 4 Change in July last year and has been in foster care with us ever since - making her our longest running foster.

Sadly, through no fault of her own, Cloud has now lived in six different homes. She’s currently with a wonderful foster family in the Wairarapa, where she’s been for the past four months.

While she’s settled and loving life with her canine foster siblings, Cloud truly deserves a forever home.

Cloud is deaf, but that doesn’t stop her from running, playing, and living life to the fullest. Despite all the upheaval in her young life, she remains smart, engaged, happy, and healthy.

We understand that adopting a deaf dog can seem daunting - but it doesn’t need to be. Like Cloud, we can adapt.

Cloud sees brilliantly and is constantly checking in. She reads body language, facial expressions, and hand signals. She responds to changes in light, vibrations, touch, and on-lead guidance. We can communicate - just without words.

If you’re interested in meeting Cloud to see if she might be the perfect match for your family, or if you'd like to learn more about adopting a deaf dog, please reach out. We’re more than happy to chat.

Otherwise, head over to our TradeMe page to learn more about this wonderful girl - https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/marketplace/pets-animals/dogs/dogs-to-adopt/listing/5338895662?bof=iJUMd8hU

Molly is a beautiful, 4 month old, female, Staffy X.

Good with dogs: Yes.
Good with cats: Yes.
Good with stock: Unknown.
Good with children: Yes.

Molly's foster writes:

Molly is a bright spark of energy wrapped in a soft, puppy body. She’s full of bounce and joy, and absolutely lives for playtime with her foster dog buddies. Tug-of-war champion? That’s her. Chew toy connoisseur? You bet. Deer antlers, pig ears, puzzle toys - if it squeaks, crinkles, or challenges her clever brain, she’s in heaven.

Molly can be a little shy when meeting new dogs, but once she knows they’re friends, the party begins! She’s still figuring out that not all dogs are up for endless play, even if she really wants them to be. She'd do wonderfully with another playful, confident dog who can keep up with her energy and gently teach her the ropes when it's time to take a breather.

People? Molly adores them. Adults, kids - she’s a total love-bug. She’s generally well-mannered with children, only occasionally getting a little too excited and forgetting her no-jumping manners. But she quickly remembers if it means pats and praise. Her happy tail wags on autopilot, especially when she’s showing off her perfect sit for attention.

Molly sleeps soundly in her crate through the night and is 90% toilet trained - just the occasional oops when excitement gets the best of her. She’s learning that walks are full of exciting smells and sights, and every outing is boosting her confidence more and more.

Molly would thrive in an active home with a family who loves to be on the move. She’d love another playful pup to wrestle with, especially one who can help teach her some doggy etiquette. Her perfect people will also have some dog experience and be confident setting gentle boundaries when her enthusiasm bubbles over.

If you are interested in adopting Molly and own your own home then please complete our adoption application form - https://airtable.com/apptS9QFkdVrQm2su/shrXmMrksf6Ci8dYQ
