Today Ellanvannin Marzipan received her Grand Champion Certificate from NZ Cat Fancy Inc. I am pleased because this girl is a result of years of breeding up with NZ stock and Australian pedigrees to achieve this colour. I have been breeding officially since 1999 and have never seen colours like hers on the showbench. Favoritism is hard to break with some judges not able to hide preferences of colours/breeds, it is human nature to do this. however, I will battle on trying to breed shorthair bi-colours and tri-colours (like Marzipan) with the old-fashioned correct blaze on the face. If nothing else Marzipan has a nature impossible to beat for affection and quiet disposition.

Just a little "hello" from us and to all chocolate lovers. It has been a wee while since our last post but "Doublestar Big Joe Brown" (who is still a kitten at 4 months old today) is growing and enjoying life. Son of Ellanvannin Diego (now retired) and Doublestar Panda, he has the most exquisite predisposition. Chunky, friendly and extremely talkative I am sure any future kittens he may have will be well worth having.
