Full-time Reception and Daycare Attendant
Wellington CBD based, diverse and inclusive workplace looking for reliable dog lovers to join our daycare and reception team!
This will be a full-time position, 4-5 days per week totalling approximately 30 -37.5 hours.
The role involves both customer-facing and dog care duties. Previous animal care skills are required for this role. Pet and/or human first aid experience is preferred but not required.
Applicants must:
Be able to work any shifts Monday - Friday.
Be able to commit to working with us long-term.
Be able to cover a shift at short notice.
Be physically fit.
Be reliable and responsible with a great work ethic.
Be able to work in loud environments (hearing protection is provided)
Have confidence and passion for dogs of all sizes.
Have previous experience in dog care/animal handling or a strong desire to learn.
Have great customer service skills.
Have excellent communication skills.
Finer details:
Working with dogs is very hard work, but equally rewarding. We expect professionalism, but also a good sense of humor and a keen attitude when the going gets tough. Being able to read and respect each dog and learn what's important to them is vital to the first step in the dogs connecting and bonding with you.
Our hours of operation are 7am-6:30pm Monday to Friday. The daycare is closed on public holidays and weekends.
