THE BLACK HAWK STORY

Our story is real, and simple – every ingredient matters.

Everything we do, every product we make, is all about making sure your pet gets everything they need, and nothing they don’t. Real meat, real veggies. No fillers, no nasties. Nothing but the best for our besties. It all began with a passionate breeder and her champion German Shepherd. Black Hawk was his name.

He gave us his name, and the original recipe is still with us today.

She began by making a list of all the ingredients commonly found in other dog foods. She then painstakingly researched the health and nutritional value of each and every one. Through a process of elimination, she was left with a list of only those that mattered… and only those ingredients made it into the original Black Hawk recipe. Black Hawk went on to become the first German Shepherd Grand Champion in Australia in 1998.

Other keenly aware breeders quickly embraced the Black Hawk recipe for success. And soon Black Hawk bounded ahead to become the preferred choice for pet owners in Australia and around the world.

Since joining the Masterpet family our commitment is stronger than ever. We still put the same loving degree of care and expertise in all we do; and nothing but the finest real ingredients in all we make.
