Meet Lucky, this gorgeous boy was desexed and microchipped last week for free to the owner as part of the Longacres Animal Haven community desexing programme.

The lovely owner turned up last night with goodies to sell in the garage sale and a box of fresh vege for me, which were yummy for my dinner.
Much appreciated.

I currently have a list of dogs and cats waiting to be desexed on this programme as our vets as short staffed, plus I need to raise more funds.

I got up this morning and only 7 out of the 10 bed buddies followed me to make a cuppa tea...... Scruffy was still under the duvet, Tiny was watching kittens from the bed and Miss Longacres.... Aka Honey Belle decided to stay put....very unusual for her...
So I made my cuppa and watched me from the bed.... So as I m exhausted, I joined her back in bed with my cuppa.....

Good morning from the totally feral mumma cat and kittens, I got a, week ago included is the grey and white I got 2 days ago.... Mumma, cat is only a teenager like all the others on that property.... Amazing what time and love can do....

Busy day started off with a brand new catio being delivered and assembled, I had to ask my neighbour to help and between the 3 of us, the cats have a new catio, thanks to the proceeds of the garage sale.... Hopefully I can order more of these awesome enclosures and this one has the best view.....

Another little kitten came in yesterday and being a little wild, I put her with another mumma, with 4 kittens ans she accepted the kitten straight away. I managed to pat her tonight.

Honey Belle has had a big day playing non stop with the 2 pups, Foxy and Jag... So now they are crashed out on the couch.

Maui and Sky snuggled up on Maui's bed tonight too.....

Why am I sharing this..... Because I am sitting here this morning with my cuppa in disbelief of people's actions and words.... Everyday is draining to stay smiling. But then there are the absolute angels that follow me and bless me with huge support and generosity....

Sad day, little possum was one of the feral kittens that came in with her mum on Friday, she was so sweet but she gained her angel wings today.
Her mum has another baby, a bigger kitten who is fine and for the first time today mumma cat, who normally hisses and snarls, let me touch her and she even purred, bless her. FLY FREE POSSUM.

Just some Honey Belle to put a smile on your face..... This dog bed had not sold in the garage sale and I knew why! So I gave it to Miss Longacres on Saturday and she demonstrated why it was not a good dog bed..... Bless her being my quality control.... Then home to comfy couch

Today was a day to spend at home with the animals, just chillaxing..... First thing I was off to collect a stray 3 legged cat. Then onto Awapeka Road to scan a, stray dog for a microchip, alas no microchip but people are happy to foster him and I gave them food for him.

Got home with cat and settled her in.... Checked microchip this arvo when I had finished feeding and cleaning cats and kittens, only to try to have a late lunch when I get a call about a dog nearly hit in traffic in Wellsford.... Lunch in fridge.... Off I went...Got the dog and thankfully with abit of dective work, I reunited Honey with her owner.

Went and checked on shop and then rang a friend of mine who I hadn't seen for ages but saw her this morning..... I asked if she was missing a cat....she was confused.... Then I said Milly..... She couldn't believe this gorgeous 3 legged girl had been missing for a year.... Thank goodness for Microchips.... Woop woop Miss Milly has just been collected by a very thankful owner.....
And that is just another day in rescue, no rest for the wicked, now another call.... one of my cat traps is required to catch a kitten.... When will it end?

I hate to think the worst of people.......

But I am $100 short in today's takings..... Every cent counts......

I did have an incident where a person was rummaging under the counter when I was distracted. If this was you by all means prove me wrong....... As my money was right where you were.

I am gutted. I work my arse off.... But you obviously need it more than the animals....

On a brighter note, Honey Belle loved meeting and greeting everyone.

Massive thanks to Glenda for helping today, so lovely having you there.

Right let's hope tomorrow is a better day

Good morning and my apologies for lack of posts.... It almost certainly means I am run off my feet and tired...... Correct so......

Firstly Sundays Garage Sale was awesome, massive thanjs to Glenda and Nicola and my fab friend Lesley who popped up from Devonport with goodies from Devonport Ladies.... (thank you Devonport Ladies).
Also lovely Lorraine and her friends from Mangawhai..... More goodies delivered and then they had a shopping spree.

So the total for the day was $1000 which was amazing and that gave me $500 to gift the Peter And Abbie as promised.... They were over the moon and the money is being used for supplies for their rescue horses... So a massive Thank you to you all.

Next up was a visit from the owner of the building..... With news that made my day.... He is wanting me to move into the other end of the building and I can be there as a more permanent shop...... SO EXCITING..... SO watch this space..... My head is spinning with cool ideas, nothing new all recycled, second hand fittings, scored a gorgeous bed head yesterday that is going to be my counter top now I just need someone to make the counter!! .... Any builder or handyman keen to help build a counter please.... 😊

So then the name..... What do we call it.... I am sure some people will say.... Just Another Op Shop in Wellsford...... Lol.... Yes true but this one helps community animals in need and desex community animals too......

So one name came to mind.......
Neu-Ter-You...... New To You...... 😂😂 So come people give me ideas....

Ps all dogs and cats are fine... I will do another post soon once you have hade your coffee and got thru this one..... 🙃🙃
