Had a good second NZMHA show Friday and Saturday 15/16 November at the Miniature horse club of Canterbury Triple Summer Madness Show. The weather was very changeable but we had good results and another enjoyable if somewhat freezing show with the exception of Dunkin who was well behaved but had a gear malfunction which resulted in him getting loose and running all through the show, the competitors, ring ropes and actually mounting a very lovely gelding who fortunately wasn’t overly perturbed 🤦‍♀️ thanks to the help of so many people he was cornered and recaptured without anyone getting hurt. He did look fantastic trotting around head and tail up showing everyone his moves but it was a relief to catch him again so quickly. So we can’t thank everyone enough for the help.

This post is a little late but better late than never as they say 😊

We kicked our NZMHA show season off in Oamaru on November 2nd and 3rd competing with 3 horses at the Miniature Horse Club of North Otago Spring Fling Show. It was the first show outside for the yearling c**ts Dunkin and Felix, first time away for the night for all 3 and after the outrageous behaviour the previous week we were pleasantly surprised at how well behaved they were, not perfect but it was certainly a very enjoyable show with some good results for the little team of Beaux Chevaux bred horses.

We are very pleased to have a positive 18 day scan for Daisy BEAUX CHEVAUX DAFFODILS SWEETSECRET and Zeus MAUNGATUA NOVA'S I'M SO FABULOUS. This will be our first foal from one of our Beaux Chevaux bred fillies. Very excited.

Introduced the 2 foals today, 4 week old Dunkin and 14 week old Felix…Apparently Felix is a scaredy-cat and Dunkin, though much younger is going to be a bossy little troublemaker
