Well....Jojo decided she didn't want to wait for today's scheduled c-section, the waddle-bus left the station and she decided to start free-whelping herself at 5:15am Sunday morning. She successfully delivered 2 herself but decided #3 was too hard, so off we went to the vet. Where she delivered #3 with a little help, followed quickly thereafter by #4. Delivering #5 and #6 it was a long day. We did an x-ray after #5 to confirm just how many were left in case of major complications with her whelping. Due to the size of the bulldogs heads and shoulders and smaller birth canals on bulldogs, it's always highly recommended to schedule c-section for litters.
#7 was well and truly ready to come out for over 2 hours....and we needed to get her an extra boost with Oxytocin and lotsa l**e to coax the baby along. Well past any c-section being able to help. Unfortunately #7 finally did grace us with his presence and had already gained wings. A beautiful white boy with black ears!
So. We got situated, loaded up and headed home from the vet with 6 amazing little babies for Jojo to tend to. She has been absolutely amazing. Extra bonus and bonding for her being able to free-whelp. How amazing is she???

Wish us luck as we also prep for a small litter from our first time Blue Champion Grest Dane, Skye today.
A massive thanks to the after-hours team Mill Road Vet Hospital and their assistance, guidance and moral support as we sat tucked away in their office quietly having puppies. π₯°πΎ
