Did you know Pet Essentials Whangarei is locally owned and operated, and has been for over 24 years!

Since October 2023 there has been a change in ownership, Kahn Dobney and June Cu***ng and baby Rex have taken over from Mike.

Exciting new changes are happening instore! Prices have been permanently reduced!
We are wanting to focus on working with our local community!
We have started with FREE education sessions for you!
We love working with local Northland rescues, holding adoption days and we have distributed over 10 pallets of food to the local rescues since taking over!
We pride ourselves on having knowledgeable staff and providing the best customer service we can!

FREE educational sessions, first one is a bit short notice next Sunday!
It is Owning a happy dog, a general class looking at the whole picture of what makes a happy dog, pick up some tips and tricks.
There will be goody bags, and a prize draw.
Limited to the first 50 people!

We are thrilled to share our achievements from the past year, made possible by the unwavering support of our community and

🐶 195 Dogs Desexed: In just 12 months, we've desexed 195 dogs, contributing to a healthier and happier dog population in our community.

🥫 9T of Dog Food Distributed: Over the past 6 months, we've distributed over 9 tonnes of dog food through our food outreach programme, ensuring that four-legged friends across Whangārei have full bellies.

🛏️ Support for Community Dogs: Providing flea and worm treatments to dogs owned by our homeless community, as well as essential supplies like beds, kennels, collars, leads, blankets, and bowls to support dogs across Northland.

🤝 Collaborations: Working with and alongside organisations like Bay of Islands Animal Rescue - Never Ending Story, Country Retreat Animal Sanctuary, Wandering Angels Animal Sanctuary, SPCA Northland because we're all in it together.

The final load of donated Phoenix Pet Food went to SPCA Northland, hopefully it help feed some vulnerable dogs in our community.
Absolutely amazing being able to donate so much food to 5 different animal charities doing amazing work within Northland we managed to cover Waipu to Kaitaia.
If you are looking to foster, adopt or help in any way please contact your local animal rescues as they are all so full they would appreciate the help! Also if you need your pet desexed get in touch with them and they will try help you out, if your unsure who to go to message us and we will point you in the right direction 😊

The last loads of Phoenix Pet Food have been delivered! We finally got to Kerikeri to meet Donna from Donna Doolittle's Animal Rescue Kaitaia. Also Thanks to Phoenix Animal Wellness for allowing us to drop it off in work hours 😊
We hope the animals in the far north enjoy the delicious food 🐶

The third lot of Phoenix Pet Food to go out last week went to Bay of Islands Animal Rescue - Never Ending Story they were so excited to receive it that they even organized picking it up!

Morning,
Due to the street sprints on this weekend 🏎🏁 There are multiple road closures in town.
We however are OPEN today 9am -5pm!
You will have to get to us from the Okara end of Commerce street, if you haven't come that way before look for hunting and fishing, they are on the corner of Okara drive and Commerce street, turn down Commerce street and look for our flags!
