Busy day here today… popped down the road to see a horse whos been giving his rider a bit of grief. Worked the breakers, Stevie had his first ride.. this horse has taken a second to settle into everything that the starting process has to offer, but in my opinion horses are so much better off taken at their own speed.. Stevie had a great day and he will really just bloom from here onwards!
My new little breaker/sale on behalf had her first little play in the round pen, shes a lovely wee thing!
Then popped up and saw my mamas to be, Pony is day 50 today and already taking the eating for two a little seriously 🫠
Finshed the day off with a XC practice day (where a I didn’t get any photos) cool to have a play over some bigger fences in prep for some up and coming events ☺️

Westella Augustus and I attended the Maunu ODE, first eventing start in 18 months! Dressage was rather rusty but he jumped around the SJ & XC like a legend for 3rd overall! 😍

Red and Stevie the breakers im starting for other people, had their feet done this morning by my farrier/partner Josh. My clients and i are so grateful to have an on sight farrier, specially my clients as it makes it so easy for them to organise to get their horses trimmed while they are away from home getting an education, we all appreciate you Josh!! 🥰

Productive day here, Josh spent the morning shoeing some of my crew.. then i thought i really should up my game and join in 🤪 (even a photo to prove it 😌) breakers worked, unfortunately only got photos of Stevie.

A typical day in my life… 3 breakers worked, Triple Star Phantom Warrior served Opal (unfortunately she had a miscarriage a few weeks ago ☹️), Rita had her second ride, im really impressed with how shes coming along (i might go into more detail with that in another post). Gave a lovely little girl a lesson on her pony, all to be in the cow shed by 2pm… unfortunately making 4 legged babies and playing with horses all day doesn’t pay the bills 😅

Westella Alekto

5yr old mare, currently 16hh should mature to 16.1-2hh

Started feb 2022, then turned out to grow, and has been slowly brought on.

Alekto has 3 nice paces and is quite balanced for a youngster, super kind mare who has a bright future ahead of herself. Alekto has a snaffle mouth, was started in a halter and was honestly one of the easiest horses to start.
Seen in photos Alekto has been ridden by my 11yr sister, whom is the size of a pea.

Alekto would thrive in a saddle hunter ring/show hunter/hunting, she has that lovely big pace.

Shes been to a few ribbon days and has handled the environment like a champ, shes still her typical laid-back self. Plenty of ribbons ect.

She is still green, absolutely NO dirt.
Shes in work and shod all round ready for her new rider.

Some pretty exciting news!

Another Westella baby has come to be started and sold under saddle! 💓

I am seriously contemplating opening my page back up and taking on horses for breaking in, schooling, ground work and lessons again!
Let me know if this is something you guys would be interested in again (just scoping interest at this point)

Triple Star Phantom Warrior kick started the season with serving his first mare!

Opal is a fire cracker mare, full wire hunter who I’ve been very lucky to lease from a good friend!
Opal was the huntsman’s horse so she brave, forward and will jump anything you ask of her!

Very exciting combo, we are looking forward to next season! 😍

Very cute 9 month old filly, Della is a lovely sweet girl, super friendly, well mannered, my young siblings can do everything with her.
Della is good to worm, trim hooves, lead & tie (by children aswell)

She will make an awesome kids pony, Della loves kids.

Dam is a bush pony, 14.2hh, super sweet mare.

Sire - Tussle paranga (donny harrison bred) 14.2hh
now deceased, Della is the only filly by him.

So im not farming anymore and want to focus more on the training/teaching side of horses, ie lessons (ridden and on the ground) schooling and bringing on young ones.
My end goal is to teach these up and coming riders while still focusing on my own sport horses who haven’t been out in 18 months!

So this is my little post pretty much stating id love to get back out there and do more lessons for all ages! Id love to hear from you, chuck me a message if you have any questions/inquiries!

Fern is the sweetest thing you’ll ever meet, soft sensitive type but very level headed, amazing mother, foals super easy no issues.
She has been a brood mare for the last few years, no injuries, she was apparently broken in years ago up north and kids used to ride her around but hasn’t been ridden in years so therefore will be sold unbroken.
She is a more solid type so would look gorgeous in a show ring!

Easy to do everything with, float, worm, wash, trim feet.

Regretful sale but need to down size unfortunately.

Fern weened her foal in oct, so is currently in mama condition

When wee Feather came to me she definitely had a wild streak in her… today she is the sweetest horse on my property 😍 give yourself a pat on the back Feather, you’ve came so far ❤️

Star of the day was Feather! Had her first go at the tires, shes super smart and really enjoying her journey so far! 💕

Such an improvement with Feather girl 💕 Still has her green moments but improving every day.

I contemplated posting this.. but i want to show the good and the bad of handing unhandled horses.. as its not always rainbows. Here is Feather, day 2 of handling, the first day she was super and today deciding she was feeling fresh! But within 20mins she was awesome, focusing lots on handling her legs with the carrot stick as she can kick if something touches her and she gets a fright, but as you can see she is doing amazing 💕
