So far this season we have run 4 big ESNZ shows, every one of those shows has had beautiful winners rugs sponsored from Canter for Cancer if you have been lucky enough to win one fantastic if not? A horse ambulance will be on course for the cross-country phase of the Brookby Horse Trial, proudly safeguarding the health and well-being of the equine athletes competing.

The New Zealand Horse Ambulance Trust is a registered charity established in 2016 to fund and procure a fleet of purpose-designed equine ambulances. It is a grassroots initiative driven by equine vets who saw the need to respond better to horses injured in competition. A transport engineer designed the horse ambulance in Mosgiel, where they are built, and there are now ten in the fleet.

The Trust’s experienced operators work closely with the race day or event vet to safely transfer an injured horse to the nearest equine hospital, treating every patient with care and compassion.

A horse ambulance attends over 660 events yearly and is a tangible example of the equestrian communities' care for horses, whether they are elite racehorses or pony club stars.

The Inter-Pacific Exchange (IPE) 2025 is Back!

Calling all NZPCA Members!

What is the IPE?
The IPE is a prestigious biennial international Pony Club event that unites riders from Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and the USA.

This event is more than just a competition; it's a platform for international friendships, cultural exchange, and showcasing high-level equestrian sport.

When & Where:
📅 **21 September - 5 October 2025
📍 **Hosted in Australia, starting in Sydney and finishing in Melbourne.

Competition Format:
💎 Horse Trials (Kangaroo Trophy):** Includes Dressage, Cross Country, and Show Jumping. Teams are scrambled, meaning each team consists of one rider from each participating country.
💎 Team Showjumping (Goodwill Trophy):** Compete under Nations Cup rules representing your national team.
💎 Host Country's Special Event:** To be confirmed. Past events have included Polocrosse & Tetrathlon.

Who Can Apply?
☑️ NZPCA members aged 17 - 25 (as of 5 October 2025).
☑️ Holders of a B Certificate.
☑️ Experience in showjumping at 1.10m and eventing at 1.00m is preferred.
☑️ Proven ability to proficiently ride a variety of horses, including green or inexperienced mounts.

How to Apply?
Application forms will be available soon. Stay tuned!

Costs & Training:
- Participants will need to cover their travel, entry fees, uniform, and coaching costs, which are estimated to be between $6,000 and $7,000.
- A training camp may be required before departure, which will be self-funded.
