There is always a surge of requests for DNA samples to be sent once off-spring start hitting the ground! Whether the team in collecting on-farm or your animal is on-centre, we can submit a straw to be profiled at your preferred company prior to you needing it. We can also arrange to take tissue samples when completing an embryo programme so that your donors are also on file.
While on farm, the team can also arrange the collection of samples to be tested for BVD and Johnes.

NZ genetics are incredibly valuable to the overseas market as well as domestically, which is why we collect and despatch to over 20 countries as well as nationwide!
Xcell is also able to assist in importing and storage of semen and embryos.
Did you know that outside the normal bull, ram and stag collections, we also look after semen and embryos from buffalo, pigs, dogs and salmon!

Xcell Breeding Services was established in 1996, we are a local privately owned business. Our base is a purpose built facility consisting of Bull, Ram and Buck export qualified housing.
