Happy new year and welcome to the rainy season here in the Sacred Valley, Peru! With the new year comes new preparation of the land for cultivating our crops. This is the perfect time to do this as the rain nurtures our soul and allows bountiful and healthy harvests.

With the help of our volunteers, we have planted carrots, radishes, and lettuce; and we look forward to planting more!

Because Peru is so diverse, offering all types of terrain from oceans, jungle, desert, and mountains; we are able to grow nearly every kind of imaginable produce- including coffee! We are able to source fresh coffee beans straight from the trees in the jungle and roast our own beans here at the ranch.

Our staff is incredibly knowledgeable about the process of making coffee; from the planting to the harvesting of the beans, to the collecting, roasting, grinding, and ultimately the moment we’ve all been waiting for- drinking the freshest coffee you can find.

Come join us for a workshop where you will be able to roast, grind, and brew your own coffee. Trust us when we say your taste buds will thank you!

The Pachamama ceremony: just one of the many workshops and native experiences we offer.

The Pachamama ceremony is a beautiful, spiritual, and traditional offering to the Mother Earth. It is reciprocity between what we know as our material world and the spiritual world.

During this workshop, you will be guided by a native shaman who will take your offerings- seeds, dried legumes, sweets, and coca leaves and they will invoke the spirits that surround our sacred land here in the Valley. These are the Apus, our great mountains; the children of the Mother Earth (such as Apu Salkantay, Apu Chicon, and Apu Veronica), who provide the nutrients and water that is essential for our harvests, crops, and fruits. Afterwards, the offerings will be burned and the ashes buried to enrich the soil and continue the cycle of vegetation.

This is a beautiful ceremony to witness and a great way to finish a long year or start fresh in 2022. Please reach out with any questions or booking requests!
