🎂 Celebrating Dad's Birthday 🎂 May 3rd
Today would have been Dad's birthday, and though he may not be here with us physically, his spirit continues to shine bright in our hearts. Dad had a zest for life that was infectious.
One of our favorite pastimes was hiking together, exploring the beauty of nature and creating lasting memories along the trails. Each step we take reminds us of the countless trails we trekked together, the sights we marveled at, and the laughs we had.
And let's not forget Dad's love for great food! Whether we were indulging in a gourmet meal at a fancy restaurant or whipping up some homemade grub in the kitchen, every meal was a celebration of flavors and good company.
One of Dad's fondest memories was when he visited us here in the Philippines in 2017. He loved by the warmth of the people, the breathtaking landscapes, and the vibrant culture. He often talked about returning one day to relive those cherished moments.
Though Dad faced challenges in his final years, his resilience and courage never faltered. As his caregiver for 14 months, I witnessed firsthand his unwavering strength and the depth of his love for our family. Even as he battled illness, he remained a source of inspiration and a beacon of hope.
Dad had a passion for sports, especially his beloved Vancouver Canucks and BC Lions football. Whether cheering on his favorite teams from the comfort of home or attending games with family and friends, his enthusiasm was infectious.
He was also dedicated to his work with Shaklee, building a business that not only provided for our family but also enriched the lives of others. His commitment to health and wellness was evident in everything he did, and his legacy lives on through the lives he touched.
Today, as we celebrate Dad's birthday, we honor the legacy he left behind. We carry his spirit with us in every step we take, every meal we share, and every adventure we embark upon. Though he may no longer be by our side, his presence is felt in the love that surrounds us and the memories that we hold dear.
Happy birthday, Dad. Your light continues to shine brightly, illuminating our lives with love, joy, and cherished memories. We miss you more than words can express, but we find comfort in knowing that you're watching over us, guiding us with your eternal love.
