What is Scrotal Ablation Surgery?
Scrotal Ablation: Subcuticular/ Intradermal Closure
Typically performed when castrating an older dog with a pendulous sc***um (for esthetic reasons), due to scrotal trauma, infection, or neoplasia, or to perform a scrotal urethrostomy.

Having your pet male dog sterilised or de-sexed is a common surgical procedure which is also referred to as castration. Castration involves the removal of both of the dog’s testicles and the surgery is performed under a general unaesthetic.

If castration is performed when the dog is young, the skin of the sc***um usually contracts and soon becomes minimally noticeable. However if the castration surgery is performed in a mature dog, or in some younger larger breeds, the skin of the sc***um may be more pendulous and obvious.

Canine distemper is a contagious and serious disease caused by the canine distemper virus. The virus attacks the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems of dogs. 😰

All dogs are at risk of canine distemper. Those at particular risk include puppies younger than four months and dogs that have not been vaccinated against canine distemper virus.🤢

How is canine distemper spread?🤔
Puppies and dogs most often become infected through airborne exposure to the virus from an infected dog or wild animal. This may occur through sneezing, coughing, or barking.
The virus also can be transmitted through shared food and water bowls and other items.
Once infected, dogs shed the virus in body fluids like respiratory droplets, saliva, or urine, and may be contagious for several months. Infected mother dogs can pass the virus to their unborn puppies.

Giardiasis is an intestinal infection in humans and animals caused by a microscopic protozoan. It is a simple one-celled parasitic species, not a worm, bacteria, or virus. The parasite occurs worldwide and is a common cause of "Traveler's Diarrhea" in people. Outdoor enthusiasts who inadvertently consume contaminated water may develop "beaver fever", another name for giardiasis in people. 😢😧

Giardiasis can be a significant cause of illness, especially diarrhea, in animals and people. However, most dogs infected with Giardia do not have diarrhea, vomiting, or any other signs of illness.😿
