FOREIGN BODY OBSTRUCTION in a 4-year-old Shih Tzu.

This case gives rise to the importance of letting all our Fur mom/dad out there that “BONES” are a big “NO” for our fur babies.

Lulu, our star patient was brought to Barksite Animal Clinic due to vomiting issues after feeding. She was relatively active and her hemogram shows normal values. On the contrary, both lateral X-RAY shows abnormal Radiopacity on the lung field below 11th and 12th Thoracic vertebrae, suggestive of a foreign body lodged inside her esophagus. The owner then mentioned that Lulu’s caretaker was certain that she may have swallowed a whole bone fragment.

To avoid future complications, Gastrotomy was performed to retrieve the foreign body lodged inside Lulu’s esophagus. Lulu was very stable during the entire stretch surgery thanks to Animal Clinic’s GAS ANESTHESIA. She was able to recover from sedation very quickly, was placed in strict fluid diet and was observed to very active post operatively

Mheng is now in our care after he was found tied up in a sack that had been tossed in a grassfield or empty lot. The reporter was shocked to see the condition of the cat when she opened the sack. It was found out later on that a man had severely beaten the poor cat many times. Not contended, he put Mheng inside the sack and tied it so the poor cat will suffocate and die.

Mheng was brought straight to 10th St. Animal Clinic in Bacolod City after hours of travel from Manapla. He had undergone eye enucleation after days of being under IV Fluid as he was severely dehydrated.

This is Mheng now, happy and contended. He finally knows how it feels to be loved and cared for. He can finally sleep in a comfy bed at BACH Silong shelter without any fear of being abused.

Evan Is Looking For A Forever Loving Home

The first photo shows how defeated and hopeless Evan was the day we rescued him. But with a whole lot of love and affection, his life turned around. Thanks big time to the vets and staff of Juan Veterinarian - Bacolod for their dedication and compassion while Evan was admitted at the vet clinic. They didn’t give up on him. They were his “only hope.”

Evan suffered from severe anemia, serious skin disease, and distemper virus. He underwent blood transfusion and skin treatment for a few months.

10th St. Animal Clinic was also dedicated in helping Evan get the full white coat that made him more stunning. They also performed free neuter to Evan and other rescue pets.

Adopting a rescue pet is a wonderful choice for those seeking a loyal and loving companion. Evan is one of the rescue animals who often came with a history of resilience and gratitude.
