ALERT: Protect Your Furry Friends from Heat Stress!

These are just some of the heat stress cases we had since the start of March!

As the temperatures soar, it's crucial to remember that our beloved dogs feel the heat much more than we do. Heat stress in dogs is a serious concern and can lead to dangerous conditions like heatstroke. Here's how you can keep your furry friends safe and comfortable:

1. Avoid Midday Walks: Try to walk your pets in the early morning or late evening when it's cooler.
2. Hydration is Key: Ensure your dog has access to fresh, cool water at all times.
3. Never Leave Your Dog in a Parked Car: Temperatures inside a car can skyrocket within minutes, even with the window cracked open.
4. Never leave them in unshaded areas.
5. Watch for Signs of Heatstroke: Excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, or uncoordinated movements are red flags.
6. Create Cool Retreats: Use fans, air conditioning, and wet towels to help your dog cool down.
7. Paw Protection: Hot pavements can burn your dog's paws. If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws.

This poor baby suffered from pyrethroid poisoning after he was bathed with Wash-out Shampoo!!!😡

Late but happy update! This brave mommy is thriving after her emergency C-section! She's cuddling her adorable puppies like a champ, and we couldn't be prouder. The mom’s strength and resilience were truly something else!
Thank you to the furparents who were very vigilant and acted right away as soon as they saw something wasn’t right with their pet. Thank you to the team of Doc Kath for the safe and fast delivery of 3 beautiful puppies.🥰

Upgrade # 1 The clinic is now capable of detecting early stages of kidney disease. We can test for Symmetric Dimethylarginine (SDMA) using our Bionote Vcheck Analyzer. SDMA is a more specific, more sensitive and is therefore a more reliable biomarker for kidney disease versus the tradional creatinine and BUN tests. Why? Because SDMA is less affected by extrarenal factors like body condition, age, exercise and lean body mass. It is detected in the serum or plasma as early as when 25% of kidney function is affected (creatinine and BUN are elevated only after 75% of kidney function is already affected). This means that with regular check, we can avoid kidney disease or slow down its progression in our pets. 😉
