Here's the final product of the bark mantis enclosure! A simple bioactive setup with spring tails as cleanup crew, for the plants, stem of Creeping Fig on the background and a Fittonia for the foreground; no additional hard scape.

Females only, limited stocks.
Spines are getting bigger!
Once majority of the batch molts to L3, I'll post details for rehoming.
After 1 molt they have mini spines developing on their abdomen; they must be what the album name says, AKA Spiny Flower Mantis! They'll be ready for release in 1 or 2 more molts, probably around the end of june or early july.
Haven't been active on here for the past couple of months trying to get these mantids. Without any clues, what species do you think this is?😁

The enclosure was designed to solve a problem that I noticed, there's no nice enclosures for mantids in the Philippines, you would either need to get expensive tubs off sites like shopee or import acrylic mantis enclosures, which would cost a lot more. This is the locally made solution to the stated problem, so we can keep up with international quality! The enclosures were designed with quality, sleekness, and minimalism in mind; you can expect to see these factors put into play when you receive yours!
Continuation of a post I made august last year.
I tested the enclosure for 5 months, everything has been holding up quite well, but I was not satisfied with the final product's quality. The bond of the hinges to the glass became cloudy and I wouldn't be able to make them with the precision and cleanness I had in mind, it was also impractical for shipping due to fragility and weight of glass. Because of all these reasons I opted to use laser-cut acrylic instead of glass it fully satisfied my idea of a quality made enclosure. Will make another post regarding further details of the enclosures and pre-ordering! Sneak peek of the acrylic enclosure below.

Just got some more pods! A group of Armadillidium vulgare 'magic potion' and some Porcellio hoffmannseggi, hoping to successfully breed these little creatures🤞
Just got something new! If all goes well with these isopods (Porcellio laevis - Dairy Cows, Armadillidium klugii 'Montenegro' - Clowns, and Armadillidium maculatum - Zebras) you'll be able to get them from Makisig's Mantids, for now check out where I got them; huge thanks to Madcap Mulchcrawlers!
Deroplatys lobata. San Fernando City, Pampangga📍
Ready for release, feel free to send a message!
(Adult example on the right is from google)
Another successful shipping, Makisig's Mantids has reached Mandaue City, Cebu!
Exactly what a wild orchid mantis would be doing, waiting near flowers for flying prey!
You can't keep them in 3oz cups forever. 🤷
After this species' 2nd molt they exceeded the maximum size of mantis that I'd keep in a 3oz cup (because they could hit the floor during their next molt) so I had to upgrade to 12oz cups; so much more room for the next molt!

Recently posted hatch (https://www.facebook.com/101921998309685/posts/397102502124965/) were Rhombodera stalii nymphs! They'll be ready to be your pet once they reach L3😁 Javan Shield Mantis(Rhombodera stalii) L1 eating a newly hatched red runner roach.
Some flies which appear to be Lesser Houseflies(not sure of the ID) took over my fruitfly culture, these tiny but mighty L1 Creobroter gemmatus nymphs took care of the problem👍 Creobroter gemmatus AKA Jeweled Flower Mantids coming soon!
