First month of not writing Cole’s name on our monthly calendar after 2 years 😭. Mixed emotions, a bit sad not to hear his constant whining. But super happy that he’s back home with his amazing fur parents. 🥰

I also want to express my deepest gratitude to my mom, sisters, cousin, and my boyfriend for always stepping in when things get a little too much at Yang’s Cat Boarding. 🫶🏻 Finally, after two years of being fully booked, along with juggling hair and makeup gigs, I was able to take a few days off during the last days of May. 🤍

While we’re incredibly grateful for all our cat guests and HMU clients, we’re equally thankful for the chance to pause and take a break. ✨

THE LONGEST-STAYING SHELTER CAT 🥹

Kevin was rescued in January 2012 as a kitten crying weakly in a dumpsite with parasites all over his frail body. He managed to survive and grew into a handsome and chonky puspin. During his prime, Kevin had a lot of energy for playtime. As he aged, he became calmer and would rather enjoy quiet moments snuggled with a human, similar to a loving lolo.

As we welcome the new year with excitement, it also marks Lolo Kevin's 11th year at the shelter—a decade of hoping to finally be chosen and brought home.

We consistently feature Lolo Kevin in Home for the Holidays because we maintain hope that someone will adopt him and provide the best care during his remaining years in life. Please consider fostering Lolo Kevin to give him the chance to experience what it's like to have a home, even if it's just for the holidays.

Note: Kevin is positive for FIV/FELV. This is contagious and can be passed to other cats, so Kevin has to be in a solo-cat household if he is to be adopted ❤️ The setup is also the best option for him as a senior cat so he can get all the attention he needs.

The "Home for the Holidays" program is a short-term foster care initiative for our shelter animals to be taken home, ensuring they won't feel so alone during the holidays when the shelter closes to visitors and volunteers.
