Hi, furparents. We'll be attending this year's Philippine Veterinary Medical Association Annual Convention 👨‍⚕️. Please be guided with the following schedule adjustments 🗓:

February 20: 9AM-5PM
Note: Grooming services will be until 4PM only. Cut-off will be 3PM or earlier depending on the queue.

February 21-23: CLOSED

We'll be closed from December 24 to 26 and again on December 31 to January 2. On these dates, we also won't be able to attend to emergency cases and accept boarding and confinement. We would like to thank everyone who expressed their love for our furbaby NotNot 🐶. She now has a forever home with new loving furparents and a lot of doggo and catto friends to run and play with. She also has a new name that she seems to really like - Anya from SpyXFamily which suits her; very playful and sweet. 🧐

She was rehomed just yesterday but it's as if they've already known each other for so long. Her Shih Tzu brother loves playing with her while her Siberian Husky bro cuddles her to sleep. What happened to her was sad; abandoned and neglected. But we know she'll get the love and care she deserves in her new home.

Our pets don't live as long as we do. We only share a fraction of our lives with them, but to them we are their whole. They will give us their unconditional love but please do not take them for granted. They need love as much as we do. ❤️

You probably know NotNot already. She's the brindle and white parti-colored Shih Tzu 🐶 who will happily greet you and your pet together with Moby once you enter the clinic. She has been with us since being rushed to the clinic for emergency right eye surgery on the 11th of August at around 9 PM. She was presented with right ocular proptosis, multiple wounds and heavy parasite infestation. Since then, her owners have never visited her.

For 3 months, her owners will seldomly reply to our messages and updates. Our last conversation was on October 13 when they committed to take her home on the 28th of October. However, they never showed up while also ignoring our messages and declining our phone calls. Today, we messaged them for the last time to inform them that we'll now find Notnot a forever home that will provide her the love and care that she deserve.

We love this energetic and very sweet furball. As much as we want to keep her, we don't think a clinic is a good enough setting for her. She needs to run and play with her humans and pet-friends more. A lot of our clients have already expressed their desire to adopt her. She's been neglected before, so we will make sure that she gets the best home. 🐶❤️🏡

We apologize for a recent incident where one of our former groomers engaged in unacceptable behavior towards the beloved pets in our care. Please be assured that we take this matter very seriously and we will take all necessary steps to prevent such behavior from occurring again.

We are committed to treating your beloved pets with the utmost care and compassion and any behavior that goes against these principles is not tolerated. We have already taken swift action by terminating the employee responsible for such behavior.

In light of this incident, we have also decided to temporarily suspend our grooming services. This will allow us to thoroughly review our grooming procedures and policies to ensure the safety and well-being of your pets. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding.

We want to assure you that our veterinary clinic’s healthcare services such as check-ups and treatments are still fully operational and available. Your pet’s health remains our priority and we will continue to provide the exceptional care and expertise that you have come to expect from us.

Puppies, especially small breeds are very prone to fractures due to their small and thin bones🦴 and as they usually don't know how high they were jumping from.

Crystal suffered from complete fracture of left radius and ulna 💪. Luckily after a month of splint and cast, her fractures connected and calcified 🦾. She was able to run and jump again. Hopefully, not from a dangerous height anymore.🗼

Fun fact about Tortoises, they can reach up to 100 years old! 🧓

However, they are not immune to diseases. This is Bon Chan, a 2 year-old Sulcata Tortoise 🐢. According to his owners, he wasn't eating well and was lethargic for a week. Result of his fecalysis shows high bacterial load and also tested positive for protozoal infection 🦠. We gave antibacterial, antiprotozoa, and supplements as treatment 💊.

Care for exotic animals is not easy, probably a little harder compared to our furry friends. They have specific and strict husbandry practices and requirements that needs to be followed. Before getting one, make sure you are knowledgeable enough on how to take care of them.

What do you notice aside from Adli's cuteness? 🐶

Unfortunately he was suffering from Rickets, a bone 🦴 disorder of puppies caused by nutritional deficiencies. Rickets causes softening and deformities of the bones due to lack of Vitamin D, Phosphorus and Calcium. It is painful, causes difficulty in walking, makes them prone to fractures and could lead to bowed legs.

Treatment focuses mainly on providing supplements, and improving their nutrition by providing complete and balanced diet 🍲. Also, make sure our furbabies are able to play under the morning sun to activate Vitamin D. 🌞
