𝐂𝐓𝐔-𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐑'𝐒 𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐎𝐀𝐓𝐇-𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐘

The event held on September 10, 2024 began with a warm welcome address by CTU-SAVER's Adviser, Doc Zandro O. Perez, setting a positive tone for the ceremony. This was followed by a heartfelt turnover speech from our former Grand Sis Mary Angelou Quaipo to the newly-elected Grand Brod Andrewkyle Oroc, marking a new chapter for the leadership.

A significant moment was made as the newly-elected officers took their oath, solidifying their commitment to their roles and responsibilities. This was then followed with an awarding ceremony wherein Certificates of Recognition and Leadership Excellence were awarded to the previous Grand Councils spanning from 2021-2022 to 2023-2024. Certificates of recognition were also given to all committee members, the 6th batch, and the SAVER convention delegates, celebrating their contributions and commitment.

The ceremony reflected appreciation for past accomplishments and optimism for future leadership. 💚

𝗖𝗧𝗨 𝗦𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟯𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Our CTU SAVER team of 12 arrived in Aklan on July 24, 2024, brimming with excitement for the 31st SAVER National Convention at Aklan State University, held from July 25 to 27. This annual event was a golden opportunity for us to connect with SAVER members nationwide, immerse ourselves in veterinary insights, and forge stronger bonds.

Day 1 greeted us with an energetic Ati-atihan-inspired parade, a warm welcome from ASU President Dr. Jeffrey A. Clarin, and a valuable lecture by Dr. Catherine L. De Guzman on ethics in veterinary medicine. The day concluded with engaging chapter reports, ice breakers, and lively performances.

On Day 2, we were inspired by lectures from Dr. Jason Abner F. Sumaway and Dr. Paul A. Cardenio. The afternoon's Amazing Race was a highlight, fostering teamwork and new friendships. SAVER Night at the Vanyard Hotel Function Hall was a perfect end to the day, filled with dancing, celebration, and the introduction of the new National Grand Council members.

Day 3 offered a reflective conclusion with tours of Museo de Aklan and Bakhawan Eco Park, where we enjoyed the local history and natural beauty.

As the convention wrapped up, it was time to say goodbye. Although we were sad to part ways, we left with full hearts, cherished memories, and a stronger connection to the SAVER community. The experience was invaluable, and we look forward to carrying these moments with us as we continue our journey. Until next time, SAVER family!
