This is shy Sky never missing his regular appointment for internal and external parasite control done every 2-3 months.

Deworming puppies and kittens start at two weeks, repeating every two weeks until two months of age, and then regularly every after two to three months. Broad spectrum parasite control begins at two months of age and is done monthy or as prescribed by the vet.

These two cuties just got fully vaccinated today. Way to go Cherry and Chico! 🐾 💗

Ever noticed constant ear scratching and violent head shaking among your cats and dogs?

You may be seeing signs of ear mites infection. Ear mites are microscopic parasites that inhabit the ear canal and surrounding skin of your pets causing redness, irritation, itching, odor, head shaking, and discharges resembling coffee grounds.

Ear mites are highly contagious that they can easily infect your pet through direct contact with another infected animal.

Seeking immediate help from your Veterinarian is a must in preventing secondary infections and spread of infection.

Immunizations are started at 6-8weeks of age and are repeated after 3 weeks. Booster vaccinations for adult cats (1yr old and above) are given once a year. Become responsible cat owners by protecting them from the most common feline diseases.

Ticks (garapata) and why get rid of them.

Ticks do not only feed on your dog’s blood but also transmit life-threatening diseases while doing so.

Here is Venice who tested positive on Ehrlichiosis after being admitted for vomiting and loss of appetite.

Ehrlichiosis, one of the tick-borne diseases, is caused by a bacteria called Ehrlichia canis. Signs of the disease include fever, loss of appetite, lack of energy, swollen lymph nodes, and bruising and bleeding. This disease can be fatal if left untreated.

In Venice’s case, early detection and prompt treatment led to fast recovery.

Let’s take tick infestation seriously to keep our dogs happy and healthy. Give tick treatment regularly (oral/spot-on). And seek immediate veterinary advice and treatment if your dogs show any signs of the disease.

What to do:
🔹 Move pet to a ventilated, cool area, and offer water.
🔹 Lower the pet’s body temperature slowly by using COOL not cold water. Use a fan if possible.
🔹 Call the vet and take the pet immediately.
