Distinguishing characteristic: He has an open wound behind his ear, near the neck.

Not all snakes are venomous, but snake bites can still be life-threatening for dogs. It’s always better to be safe than sorry.

⚠️ Watch out for these signs:
• Sudden swelling (face, legs, neck)
• Puncture wounds
• Weakness or collapse
• Vomiting, trembling, pale gums
• Bleeding from nose or gums

⏱️ If you suspect a snake bite, keep your pet calm and bring them to the vet immediately. Do NOT try to treat it at home.

Canine Transmissible Venereal Tumor (TVT) – What You Need to Know

What is TVT?

TVT is a contagious cancer that spreads between dogs through direct contact, especially during mating. It primarily affects the ge****ls but can also appear on the nose, mouth, and other mucous membranes.

✨How It Spreads

-Mating (most common)
-Licking or sniffing infected areas
-Biting or close contact with affected dogs

✨Signs to Watch For

-Ge***al tumors (bleeding, ulcerated, or cauliflower-like growths)
-Bloody discharge from the p***s or va**na
-Tumors on the face, nose, or mouth
-Swelling, excessive licking, or pain in affected areas

✨Prevention
-Spay/neuter to reduce risk
-Avoid contact with infected dogs

Early treatment leads to better recovery
TVT is treatable, but early detection is key. If you notice any signs, seek veterinary care immediately.

If your fur baby has a nosebleed, it's important to stay calm and get them checked by a vet if the bleeding persists.
