Last week’s case: HEATSTROKE ☀️

Merry was heavily panting and her tongue turned blue when brought at the clinic. Fortunately, her furparent was alert enough in providing first aid while rushing to the clinic. Medical emergency treatment was done and Merry recovered swiftly from a life threatening condition.

Feline scabies is a highly contagious skin disease in cats. Signs include intense scratching, yellow or gray crust, scales and hair loss mainly on head, ears and neck and can ultimately cover entire parts of the body.

If you observe signs mentioned above on your furbabies, consult your veterinarian for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Firecrackers and loud noises maybe norm this New Year, however, they can surely cause anxiety to our pets.

Here are some tips to keep your dog safe and calm:

🐾Ensure to exercise your dog before hand. Tired and well fed pet is less anxious.
🐾 Keep your dog indoors. Create a safe space by providing hiding place, closed blinds and use music to mask the noises.
🐾Try an anti-anxiety wrap.
🐾 Remain calm and perform normal activities. Avoid showing excessive/unnecessary concern over your pet as this can encourage anxious behavior.
🐾 Make sure pet wears collar - much better if you have your contact details, in case dog do escapes.

Big-Dog-Little-Dog attack

Poor little Leader suffered deep wound injuries on his neck due to dog attack. Luckily, he was brought in to our clinic and was treated promptly. Leader is now safe and healing.

To avoid big dog-little dog confrontations at home, it is important to train our dogs at an early age, train them on leash and always have them supervised.
