Despite being up-to-date on his vaccinations and deworming, Max was unfortunately missing his anti-tick and flea preventive medication for three months. A 4-way test confirmed that he had contracted Canine Ehrlichiosis, a tick-borne disease.๐พ๐ญ
As we have seen an increase in tick-borne and blood parasite cases in our locality, we urge all pet owners to prioritize their pets' health.

Rabies is a human infection that occurs after a transdermal bite or scratch by an infected animal, like dogs and cats. It can be transmitted when infectious material, usually saliva, comes into direct contact with a victimโs fresh skin lesions. Rabies may also occur, though in very rare cases, through inhalation of virus-containing spray or through organ transplants. Rabies is considered to be a neglected disease, 100% deadly but is 100% preventable through vaccination.
