A cute white pomeranian pup has a mask of Tear Stain.

What is Tear Stain?
📢Tear stain or Porphyrin causes the discoloration or staining in the fur when excessive amounts of tears are released from the eyes.

📢Porphyrin is an iron containing dye molecule or the reddish brown colour found in dog tears.

📢Although most commonly tear stains don't have an underlying eye problem, it could be associated with blockage of the na*olacrimal duct and a diet of high protein source.

📢All dogs produce porphyrin but Porphyrin staining is most noticeable in light colored dogs like pommy here👇. (S: PetMD, 2023: MedVet, 2023)

🚨Pet Parent Awareness To Avoid this Emergency in your Pet especially Puppies.

🙅🙅‍♀️🙅‍♂️Do not give food or treats (Chunk of meat, meat with Bone, Balut white, etc) big enough to fit their mouth but not small enough to pass down their esophagus.

👉Puppies have the tendency to swallow without chewing their food especially if they have competition.

👉Please be mindful that food too large than the size of their esophagus cannot pass through the stomach and can cause blockage, discomfort and can press the trachea or airway and it becomes an emergency situation that needs to be corrected asap.

🚨An esophagotomy procedure was done to recover the piece of Balut that was stock in the patients esophagus.

Patient recovered well after surgery.
For this patient No More Balut.

Please bear with us if we need to check your pet prior to grooming or wellness program.

You might be wondering why there is a need to physically assess pets prior to grooming sessions.

For the past years, blood parasitism in pets has rampantly increased, sadly it usually goes unnoticed until it's too late. Just like Covid, it is one of the sky rise cases we're monitoring in companion pets nowadays.

So please understand that your pets need to be physically fit and Vet cleared prior to Acceptance for Grooming and Wellness sessions. This is totally free.

It is your pets wellness that we are looking out for. Our policy comes with "PETS HEALTH COMES FIRST".

✓(Pet below was supposed to be groomed but upon physical assessment it had severe tick infestation with signs of palor. Cbc shows low rbc and platelet count. Should it was insistently groomed, the stress from grooming and tick removal, might have caused severe consequences to the pets health, which could lead to shock or death.)

Pet Owners Awareness:

Wag pong antayin na malala na nag condisyon Ng mga alaga bago ipatingin sa kanilang mga doctor.

The danger of undiagnosed Urinary Stones blocking the P***s.

The radiograph of the patient below showed over distended bladder in danger of Rapture and Blocked P***s with Calcium Oxalate Stones.

Sadly the patient expired before any medical intervention was done.

Earlier diagnosis warrants better Prognosis and Prompt Medical Intervention is needed to save the patient in these conditions. The patient suffered from anuria for a few days due to prolonged disease. 😞

Laboratory tests like X-ray is needed for proper diagnosis of disease as physical assessment cannot give visuals of dogs condition internally.

Prostatitis in an intact 6 year old male dog.

Pinakitang sintomas sa sakit: Hirap sa pag ihi, dugo sa ihi, hindi makatae, may pagkabalisa.

Prostatitis was diagnosed with Radiography but most of this case is secondary only to an underlying many prostatic diseases like benign prostatic hyperplasia( BPH) which is the most common prostatic disease.

Nueter or castration in dogs is the best treatment for diseases associated with excessive hormone levels like prostatic diseases.

This is one condition that is prevented if Pets not intended for breeding are Nuetered/Castrated.

Talk to your Vets how this condition can be prevented. 😇🐣
