Eye enucleation -surgical procedure in removing the affected traumatized eye globe.
Why do Shih Tzus have eye issues?
Shih tzus in particular are prone to eye problems, because of their shallow, less protective, eye sockets. With these protruding eyes comes the potential for a condition called retinal detachment.
The most common cause of their eye trauma is fighting with other animals or playing commonly with cats

If you see your dogs having a hard time in urinating or there is blood tinge in their urine, it can tell something about its kidney condition. These signs are commonly seen in bladder stones.
Bladder stones (also called uroliths or cystic calculi) are rock-like formations of minerals that develop in the urinary bladder. There may be a large, single stone, or a collection of stones that range in size from sand-like grains to gravel. However small nor few these stones are, they should not be present in your dog’s bladder as this can cause immense pain for the dog and serious damage to its urinary tract — possibly leading to kidney failure and death.
Surgery is the best way to remove these stones and relieve your dog from the pain.

Bladder stones develop in a dog’s urinary tract when minerals are concentrated in the urine. This forms crystals which turn into stones. The most common stones that dogs get are those made of struvite or calcium oxalate, while other stones made up of ammonium urate are also relatively common.
To avoid the chances of your dog developing bladder stones,
avoid feeding foods that contain high levels of oxalate such as potatoes, legumes, and processed meat. Instead, include foods with lower oxalate levels like apples, rice and meats and fish in their diet. Make sure that your pets drink enough water to flush out excess oxalates.

Castration, or neutering, has many benefits for dogs and cats, including:
Health: Reduces the risk of certain cancers and illnesses, such as testicular cancer in males .
Behavior:Reduces or eliminates unwanted behaviors like spraying, roaming, fighting, and excessive barking. Neutered pets are often better behaved and focus more on families or owners.
The best time to spay or neuter a dog is usually around six to nine months of age, and cats are generally safe to be neutered after they reach 8 weeks old.

Pyometra is a serious infection of the uterus that causes it to fill with bacteria and pus. It can happen to both dogs or cats. The most effective treatment for pyometra is surgery to remove the uterus and ovaries, also known as a spay or ovariohysterectomy. Any female dog that has not been spayed can develop a pyometra, but they are more common in middle-aged to older female dogs who have been through multiple heat cycles.
