FHO Surgery Success!
Another brave senior furpatient successfully underwent Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) at our clinic—what a fighter!

Ano ang FHO?
It’s a surgical procedure done to relieve pain caused by hip problems like fractures, dislocation, or hip dysplasia.
After recovery, pets can walk, run, and live comfortably again—pain-free, even in their senior years!

Signs to watch out for:
• Hirap sa paglalakad
• Hirap sa twing tatayo
• Iika ika sa paglakad
• Pilay o ayaw tumayo
• Crying or whining when touched
• Biglaang pagbabago sa kilos o ugali

Don’t wait too long.
If you notice any of these signs, message us right away—early intervention can change their quality of life.

Pet Care Reminder This Holy Week!

In observance of Holy Week, please be informed of our temporary clinic schedule:

CLOSED:
• April 17 (Maundy Thursday)
• April 18 (Good Friday)

OPEN:
• April 19 (Black Saturday)
• April 20 (Easter Sunday)
Clinic Hours: 9AM – 6PM

While our clinic is closed on April 17 & 18, please make sure your furbabies have:

• Enough food and clean water
• A cool and safe space to rest
• A pet first aid kit, just in case

For any concerns, we’ll be back to assist you starting Black Saturday, April 19. 🐈🐕🐾

🎉 FIP WARRIOR: GRADUATED! 🎉

Meet Cupcake 🧁🐱—he may look a little grumpy, but deep down, he’s the sweetest fighter! After 84 days of treatment, he never missed a dose and is now on his way to full recovery! 💪🐾

What is FIP? 🤔FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) is a deadly disease caused by a mutated feline coronavirus. It weakens a cat’s immune system, leading to severe health complications. Without treatment, it is almost always fatal. 🚨

How Do Cats Get FIP?
🐾 Spreads through saliva, f***s, and shared litter boxes
🐾 Kittens, senior cats, and immunocompromised cats are more vulnerable
🐾 Stress and overcrowding can trigger the virus mutation

Symptoms to Watch Out For:
⚠️ Persistent fever that won’t go away
⚠️ Loss of appetite and sudden weight loss
⚠️ Swollen or bloated belly (wet FIP)
⚠️ Weakness, breathing issues, or eye problems🚨

If your cat shows any of these signs, don’t ignore them! FIP was once considered a death sentence, but with early detection and proper treatment, survival is now possible! 💉🐱

Fun Fact for Furparents: C-Sections in Corgis! 🐶✨

Did you know that Corgis sometimes require a C-section due to their unique body structure? Their long bodies and narrow pelvis can make natural delivery challenging, especially if the puppies have large heads.

If your Corgi is expecting and might need a C-section, here are some key things to know:
✔️ Schedule a vet check-up to monitor the pregnancy and determine if a C-section is needed.
✔️ Be ready for early labor signs, as Corgis can sometimes go into labor earlier than expected.
✔️ Post-surgery care is crucial—keep mom and pups warm, comfortable, and monitored.
✔️ Support nursing since anesthesia may cause temporary drowsiness in the mother.
✔️ Watch the incision site for any signs of infection or discomfort.

A planned C-section can ensure the safety of both mom and her pups, so always consult your vet for the best advice! 🐾❤️
