🐾 Case of the Day: Fungal Infection in a Kitten 🐾

This little one came in with hair loss and crusting on the ears. Under the Wood’s Lamp (UV light), the affected areas glow green — a classic sign of dermatophytosis.

🔎 Important Reminders for Pet Parents:
✔️ Ringworm is fungal, not a worm 🌀
✔️ It is zoonotic → can spread to humans and other pets
✔️ Healing takes weeks to months — but with patience, your pet can fully recover 💕
✔️ Cleaning and Disinfection is important

📌 If you notice bald spots, scaly patches, or itching on your cat, consult your veterinarian right away!

Poor Loti has been diagnosed with an ear mite infection and otitis externa (an outer ear infection), which explains the ear discharge and all the discomfort he’s been feeling lately.

He’s been scratching his ears, shaking his head, and not quite his usual self—but now that we know what’s going on, he’s getting the proper treatment and care.

📌 Cat parents, keep an eye out for signs like excessive scratching, head shaking, ear discharge, or a bad smell from the ears—these could be signs of something more serious. Early vet check-ups can save your furbaby a lot of pain!

Sa may furbabies na small breeds of dogs, make sure na bantayan po ang pet na natin when they are interacting with bigger dogs.

Katulad ng case natin, kinailangang tanggalin permanently ang right eye ng patient dahil sa full protrusion, trauma and infection as a result ng physical attack ng bigger dog sa kanya.

Ngayo’y nagpapagaling na si furbaby from the infection and surgery. Kindly include this patient sa inyong mga prayers. Thank youu
