Frog Poisoning
A 7 month old Rottweiler dog named Lyca was rushed in the clinic for excessive salivation and vomitting. Upon history taking, the owner observed that her dog was very active in the morning but suddenly her dog was manifesting hypersalivation before noon. Lyca was also having tachycardia (increased heart rate) and showing signs of weakness. After few hours giving intravenous fluids and other medications, Lyca was discharged.
Positive ear mites (Otodectes cynotis) seen in a 3-month old kitten. These can be done by skin scraping in the skin to get the sample. They are parasites that normally live in the ear canal and sometimes on the surface of the skin which cause a condition known as otodectic mange. Ear mites are contagious to other animals and can cause severe irritation and alopecia to the ears to your feline companion.

A 2 year old Boston Terrier came in the clinic last sunday.
The owner noticed that her dog already expelled placental fluid and having difficulty in giving birth (dystocia). After doing some interventions to have a normal delivery, still no signs of contractions. Finally we decided for an emergency ceserean procedure to save the mother dog and the puppies. What a wonderful moments to save these 4 lovely puppies. The mother dog was then spayed to avoid further labor problem in the future.

Ultrasonography in Dog (Pregnancy Detection/ Confirmation)
Natasha was brought in the clinic to determine if she was pregnant. The owner doubted that her dog was not pregnant after 30days bred. Upon palpation, there is something inside its belly. With our new ultrasound equipment, we were able to view what's inside of Natasha's abdomen. She is expecting to have 4-6 pups within this last week of September.
Ultrasound is one of the diagnostic tool to confrim pregnancy on your dog or cat 25-30 days after breeding. It can also detect other abnormalities in the abdomen.
