Meet Thunder, a 3-year-old dog fighting for his life due to a severe tick-borne infection. These infections, caused by ticks like the brown dog tick, can lead to anemia, lethargy, fever, appetite loss, and bleeding disorders if untreated.

We are pleased to share the inspiring recovery story of Katniss Everdog, who recently went through a serious medical ordeal but is now back on her paws, healthy and strong. Katniss was diagnosed with a retained fetus, uterine rupture, and peritonitis—three serious conditions that required immediate and intensive intervention.

A retained fetus occurs when the fetus remains inside the uterus even after the pregnancy should have ended. This complication can cause significant problems, including a uterine rupture, which is when the uterus tears, allowing the contents to spill into the abdomen. In Katniss’s case, this led to peritonitis, a severe infection of the abdominal cavity, which can be life-threatening if not treated promptly.

Katniss was rushed to our clinic in critical condition. The urgency of the situation called for aggressive treatment, which included intravenous antibiotics, pain management, constant monitoring, and a necessary spay surgery to prevent further complications. The infection caused by the rupture was severe, and we needed to act quickly to prevent additional health risks. Katniss was placed under close observation for nearly two weeks, during which time our veterinary team worked around the clock to stabilize her and manage the infection.

After consistent care and support, Katniss showed signs of improvement and was finally discharged. Her recovery would not have been possible without the strong collaboration between her owner and our team. We are incredibly grateful for the trust her owner placed in us, and we are thrilled to see Katniss back to her vibrant self. 💛

Calbee, the Dachshund who was severely injured in a hit-and-run accident, has made a remarkable recovery after undergoing a hind limb amputation due to pelvic and femoral bone fractures.

The great news is that Calbee is doing much better now! She is stable, her pain is well-controlled, and she’s eating normally. Although she will need time to adjust to her new condition, she is already showing great resilience. Her amputation site has healed well, and she is adjusting to life.

During her stay with us, Calbee received immediate and intensive care, including pain management and close monitoring to ensure a smooth recovery. Her healing process was carefully managed to avoid complications, and we are pleased with her progress💛
