As our commitment to provide the best outcome for our surgical patients, ultrasonic scalpel is now in use for every surgical procedure in our facility.

Benefits of Ultrasonic Scalpel:
1. Shorten the time needed to complete the procedure thus reduces also the anesthetic risk for the patient.
2. Less tissue handling means less trauma and less chance of infection.
3. Better hemostasis means less blood loss for critical patients.

‼️We Now Offer ULTRASOUND for your Dogs and Cats

An ultrasound is a non-invasive diagnostic tool that uses sound waves to create an image of certain body parts.

During an ultrasound, the veterinarian uses a computer with a handheld probe. The probe is moved across the surface of the skin over the site of interest.

Ultrasound is commonly used to:
- Detect pregnancy and infection of the uterus (pyometra).
- Detect uroliths “bladder stone” and inflammation of the urinarary bladder.
- Assess the kidneys and adrenals.
- Assess the liver and gallbladder.
- Assess the spleen.
- Assess the the heart and its valves.

This is Mira now.. recovering well and started eating few hours after her surgery☺️☺️

Mira, a 7 year old intact female poodle was presented to our clinic due to lethargy, vomiting and anorexia for 7 days already. Upon physical examination Mira was found to be severely dehydrated and with enlarged abdomen that is firm upon palpation.

Xray was taken and shows that the uterus accupied most of the ventral aspect of Mira’s abdomen and she was diagnosed with Pyometra.

After Mira was stabilized a surgical resection of her o***y and uterus (Ovariohysterectomy) was done. A total of 0.95 kilo of pus-filled uterus was taken out; that is almost 1/3 of her total body weight before the surgery.
