🎇 Ahh yes, the smell of burning sulfur in the air and the loud explosions in the sky, along with the mesmerizing lights. For us ‘hoomans’, what starts of the New Year is a great big fireworks display✨
Yet for many animals, it induces fear and anxiety. 😿
Here are the following tips to keep in mind when you have pets at home:
•Walk your dog earlier in the day
This is to make sure they’re tired, which will make for a good rest later.
•Keep them indoors as much as possible
Fireworks can startle dogs and cats, causing them to run away.
•Provide a safe and quiet space
Prepare sheltered rooms for them to feel safe and to better calm them down.
•Give them toys, treats, and their favourite food to distract them.
