New machines for more accurate diagnosis for your pets!

1. The skyla VB1 Veterinary Clinical Chemistry Analyzer is a compact system designed to perform blood biochemistry tests – fast, reliable and with high accuracy. Applying only a few blood can suffice to perform up to 15 tests on the veterinary patient sample.

2. LCD Digital microscope will give us more accurate views on specimens and can be used for various disciplines that may help in analysis for your pet’s concern that needs clear view ( parasites in skin and stool) for per breeding purposes and etc.

Nasty tick

This is Bochi, a 4 month old diagnosed with Ehrlichia and Babesia.

What is Ehrlichia and Babesia?

Ehrlichia and Babesia are blood parasites that is transmitted thru tick. Infected may show signs of fever, respiratory distress swollen lymph nodes, weight loss and bleeding disorders. This is preventable by keeping away those nasty ticks (oral treatment available).

These blood parasitism may lead to death once ignored. Early prevention and / or early detection of this disease will save your furbabies life.

Dental prophylaxis in dogs.

Does a dog needs a vet visit for its oral care?
Yes.
Tartar and plaque deposit is common in dogs. This, once go unchecked or unaddressed may lead to some serious complications in our dogs health.
Seen here is Pocholo having dental prophylaxis here in Petorria Animal Clinic. In the process because of the severity of the dental problem, 2 teeth were removed.

Cancer in dogs?

TVT or Transmissible Veneral tumor are malignant (cancerous) tumors (hence the name) that is sexually transmitted through direct skin-to-skin contact with the tumor that results in cancer cells being transplanted from dog to dog.
Cookie is a 2 years old shihtzu brought to clinic for treatment.
This condition is treatable. Just bring it to your trusted vet.

Labang, a 2 year old puspin was presented to clinic with inappetence. Upon close examination, blood exam and tests was done and confirmed with infection. With intervention, labang now is discharged.

Bruno a 9 month old shihtzu was presented to to the clinic with ianappetence. Upon examination, blood exam was done and found out it has infection and anemia.
After confinement Bruno is now going home!

Cats have nine lives?

This silly cat jumped and got caught in fence. As a result,its neck was lacerated and caused panic to its fur parents.

Luckily, immediate surgical intervention was given and now Katy is recovering from this unfortunate leap. I hope you learned your lesson Katy 🙂

Mateo, a 3 year old puspin came to clinic with hematuria (blood in urine) and inappetence. Laboratory tests and necessary treatment was done and after 5 days of confinement was released with appetite and blood works improved.

Chained melody

What is Heartworm disease?

is a fatal but preventable infection caused by worm parasite transmitted by mosquitos.

- coughing, exercise intolerance, failure to grow, labored breathing, bluish or purplish discoloration of the skin and gums, spitting up blood, fainting, nose bleeding and accumulation of fluid in the abdominal cavity.

Pyometra Diagnosis using ultrasonograpy

Aside from fetal heartbeat detection for pregnant dogs, we also use ultrasound to see if there's abnormalities inside your pet's internal organ (specially when there abnormality in your blood tests) that will aid us to further understand your pets condition to have clearer diagnosis and medication/treatment program.

What is Pyometra?

Pyometra is the infection in the uterus (womb) of a female dog. It is caused by hormonal changes in the body that fill the uterus with pus.
