A very long post.
We want to extend our heartfelt and boundless thanks to Dapper Veterinary Clinic Capas and their entire team, particularly Dr. Chelsea, for granting Storm a new lease on life after a recent and distressing diagnosis of Pyometra.
According to Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, Pyometra is a serious and potentially life-threatening infection of the uterus that causes it to fill with bacteria and pus. Many dogs with a pyometra have va**nal discharge and may feel very sick with a poor appetite, lethargy, vomiting and sometimes increased thirst or urination. Signs and symptoms include va**nal discharge, lethargy, poor appetite, increase thirst and urination, distended or painful belly, vomiting, fever, pale gums, weakness or collapse.
Initially, we observed Storm's loss of appetite, a highly unusual occurrence for her. We call her the "finisher" among our other dogs for tidying up their leftovers, so her refusal to eat multiple times raised significant concern. Additionally, she began drinking more water and urinating more frequently. The presence of blood from her va**na initially led us to assume it might be related to her menstrual cycle. However, when a substantial clot of blood appeared, we became certain that something was wrong. With her ongoing refusal to eat, we understood it was time to seek veterinary care.
Storm was first taken to Petzonia Veterinary Clinic where Dr. Russel Tayag attended to her. A thorough examination was conducted, including blood tests that showed mostly normal results, aside from certain unusual levels that I can't recall at the moment. Following the evaluation, we were recommended to proceed with an X-ray to determine any potential uterine infections. Thanks to Dr. Tayag we knew what we were supposed to do next. He gave us an endorsement for Storm to undergo Xray and to be given any other treatments necessary.
Following that, we proceeded to Dapper Veterinary Clinic, where Dr. Chelsea took over Storm's care. During her visit, Storm underwent X-ray and ultrasound, revealing the diagnosis of Pyometra. Dr. Chelsea discussed the potential causes of this condition and informed us that surgery was necessary for Storm's treatment.
Thanks to the assistance of Dapper Veterinary Clinic, Storm underwent surgery. Dr. Chelsea's immense compassion and authentic care for Storm, whom she affectionately calls "Nak," granted Storm a new lease on life. Storm, a lovable, gentle, and clever dog with a penchant for playfulness, cuddles, and exploration, now has the opportunity to continue enjoying her joyful antics thanks to Dr. Chelsea's big heart. β¨
"Dogs aren't just animals; they're cherished members of our families, spreading immeasurable joy and love in our lives. While to some, they may seem like pets, to many, they are integral parts of our households and our hearts. Their loyalty, unconditional love, and innate ability to uplift our spirits make them unparalleled companions. Dogs teach us valuable lessons in empathy, patience, and unwavering devotion.
These remarkable creatures deserve the same level of care, compassion, and affection that we extend to our loved ones. They offer boundless affection, a listening ear without judgment, and unwavering support, often understanding us better than we understand ourselves. Their playful antics, unwavering companionship, and ability to sense our emotions make them extraordinary beings.
They stand by us through life's highs and lows, celebrating our triumphs and offering comfort during our toughest moments. Their ability to spread happiness with a wag of their tail or a gentle nuzzle is unparalleled. They're not just pets; they are guardians, friends, and confidants, enhancing our lives in ways beyond measure.
The greatness of dogs lies not only in their loyalty but in their capacity to bring out the best in us, encouraging kindness, responsibility, and a deeper connection to the world around us. They remind us daily of the simple pleasures in life and the beauty of unconditional love."
Again, maraming maraming maraming salamat po Doc Chelsea and to the whole staff Dapper Veterinary Clinic - Capas . Kung wala po kayo, wala na po si Storm. Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng pangunawa and support kay Stormyy.
