These paintings are a reflection of my artistic passion; I am an artist at heart, having never formally studied art. My inspiration springs from the rescued cats and dogs in my shelter, a journey that began in 2012. While I've lost count of the number of animals we've saved, I am certain we've provided them with safe and joyous lives. Though some have crossed the bridge, their memory lives on in my heart, fueling my dedication to painting, with cats being a predominant theme.

My goal for this year is to raise £60k by selling all my paintings. This fund will contribute to establishing a permanent home for these animals in the Philippines. Currently, they reside in a temporary shelter on a generous owner's vacant lot. My vision is to secure this lot for the long-term safety of the rescued animals. I hope to achieve this ambitious goal within the coming year.

Just in the nick of time, I managed to sell another painting. This serves as the culmination of my dedicated efforts, striving to safeguard and fulfill the needs of my creations. There's a peculiar little dog in the mix, desiring rescue from her previous owner. She consistently finds her way back to our place, evading her owner until they eventually concede and surrender her to us. Now, she's in caring hands, but there's work to be done. Vaccination and addressing skin issues are a priority, including the presence of two lumps on her skin. With the hope that antibiotics will facilitate healing, I extend my gratitude to all the buyers and clients worldwide who have supported my artistic endeavors, purchasing paintings, crafts, handmade items, and children's costumes through platforms like Shopee Philippines, Etsy UK, Ebay UK, and Saatchi UK.

Feeling a mix of emotions, I am somewhat saddened yet happy to bid farewell to my painting, the "Lazy Girl," as it embarks on a new journey with its new owner in the UK. Another one of my artworks has found a home. I trust that this painting will bring joy not only to its new owner but also contribute to the happiness of the animals at Anezia's Cats and Dogs Shelter in the Philippines. Every endeavor and all the hard work I put in are dedicated to supporting my shelter.

Meet Kamote, our recently adopted canine companion. She found her way to our shelter on three to four occasions, skillfully escaping her cage just two blocks away. After her persistent escapes, her previous owner decided to relinquish her, and now Kamote, a 5-6-week-old pup, is officially part of our shelter family. This is what is referred to as talent—compelling adoption through sheer force.

Happy New Year to all animal enthusiasts, pet guardians, and rescuers in the Philippines! Wishing you all continued love and support for our furry companions, especially those in dire need. Throughout my 12-year journey as a rescuer, I've observed an increasing number of individuals stepping up to aid animals in distress. However, as rescuers, our capacity is limited, and we rely on the support of others. My hope for 2024 is to witness more people coming forward to rescue abandoned cats and dogs requiring assistance.
