Really appreciate it when someone is passionate about dogs, wants to learn and improve. There are a few people that also helped me out when i was trying to learn. And there are others that did not want me to get better. Because they know i learn quick and they feel threatened thinking about it. I see myself in this guy. There are many others that used to message me before for advice. Some are alreaady dog trainers now. Some still talk to me. Some moved on working with other trainers. Happy for all of you guys.

When training an extremely anxious, nervous dog with fear-based aggression due to past traumatic experiences, it's crucial to approach with caution, empathy, and a well-structured plan. Here are key considerations:

# 1. **Understand the Root Cause**
- Fear-based aggression often stems from past trauma. Understanding the dog's history can help identify triggers and guide your training approach.

# 2. **Prioritize Safety**
- **Safety of the handler and dog**: Use appropriate safety gear like a basket muzzle if necessary.
- **Manage environment**: Avoid stressful or high-trigger situations (e.g., crowded areas or loud noises) early in the process.

# 3. **Build Trust Gradually**
- Establishing trust takes time. Avoid rushing the process; start with positive, low-pressure interactions.
- Use gentle, non-threatening body language to avoid intimidating the dog.

# 4. **Use Rewards **
- Avoid punishment in the beginning, which can exacerbate fear and aggression. Set the dog up to succeed.
- Reward calm behavior with food, praise, or toys. Use counter-conditioning to change the dog’s emotional response to triggers.

#5. **Desensitization and Counter-Conditioning**
- Gradually expose the dog to its triggers in controlled, low-stress environments.
- Pair the presence of the trigger with something positive, like treats, to reframe how the dog perceives the situation.

# 6. **Body Language Awareness**
- Be mindful of the dog’s body language for signs of stress (e.g., yawning, lip licking, tail tucked). These indicate the dog may be close to its threshold for aggression.
- Respond to early signs of discomfort to avoid escalating the situation.

# 7. **Maintain Patience and Consistency**
- Dogs with fear-based aggression require long-term, consistent training. Be patient and avoid overwhelming them with too much too soon.

# 8. **Professional Support**
- Depending on the severity, working with a veterinarian may be necessary to create a holistic plan that could include medication to reduce anxiety.

#9. **Control and Management**
- While working on behavior modification, manage the dog’s environment to prevent triggering its fear-based responses.
- Keep sessions short and end on a positive note to avoid overstressing the dog.

Guys, we require complete vaccines for a good reason. To avoid sickness and or death of the dogs we are taking in. This is because we also train them outdoors and out in public roads. More importantly, i know there are dog owners who are against any type of vaccines because “it shortens the dog’s life”. But guys, rabies is real and I don’t want to shorten my life or any of my staff’s life. So no, you are not rejecting me because i require complete vaccines. I am the one rejecting your dog for not being fully vaccinated.

I know there are many pet hotels and dog trainers out there who are accepting dogs who are not vaccinated. We are not one of them.

Training dogs early provides numerous benefits, including:

Behavioral Foundation: Early training establishes good habits, making it easier to manage your dog as they grow. It helps prevent behavioral issues like excessive barking, chewing, or aggression.

Socialization: Early training exposes dogs to different environments, people, and other animals, reducing anxiety and promoting positive social behavior.

Stronger Bond: Training strengthens the bond between you and your dog, as it involves consistent communication and trust-building.

Safety: A well-trained dog is less likely to engage in dangerous behaviors, such as running into traffic or eating harmful objects.

Ease of Learning: Puppies have a high capacity to learn and adapt, making it easier to instill obedience and commands at a young age.

Starting training early sets the foundation for a well-behaved, confident, and happy dog.
