3n1 vaccine was given to day old chicks and backyard freerange chicken raisers in Lahug Area.

We accept incubation service and load the eggs every saturday. Chicks are vaccinated from 3-5 pm every saturday too. If you have a small batch of new hatch, pwede ra ninyo dad.on pra mabakunahan ug apil pra maka menus ta kaysa mo palit mo ug bakuna pra sa few heads ra.

We also give advice on vaccinations and disease prevention program.

We are now accepting eggs for incubation every saturday only.

All chicks hatched will be vaccinated against B1 NCD, Infectious Bronchitis and Gumboro mild for only 15 pesos. Chicks will be released 3-5pm every saturday.

The cause of the disease is usually within the farm due to multi age farming in backyard raising. Some are vertically transmitted from the parent stock to the new chicks. A good way to cut the cycle is vaccinating the flock at the erliest possible age.

These respiratory diseases can be costly and will take time to treat, or will result to permanent damage to your stocks like blindness or deformations.

Let us UNDERSTAND it more, and PANIC less!

Avian Influenza or Bird Flu is a disease of chickens but recognized to infect humans as well. A subtype of the same was confirmed in Pampanga last 2017 and was successfully contained, thus its it is not impossible to do it again this time.

Commercial poultry, free range, backyard poultry, game fowl, quail and duck farms must be vigilant and proactive in reporting to authorities cases of unusual mortality of our flock.

It is best as well to refrain from comingling of our chickens with waterfowls like ducks. We should make it a habit to quarantine animals first for atleast 2 weeks before we introduce it to our farms whether it be commercial or backyard.
This is to observe the new animals for disease and prevent it from spreading to the rest of the flock if ever they have the disease.

There is no recognised treatment to this so let us all be vigilant. Keep safe!

We may have preferences among brands of vaccines that we use, but what matters most is handling and temperature maintenance.
Most vaccines are to be stored @ 2-8°C.
Live vaccines are most critical and spoiled vaccines lead to vaccination failures.

So always make sure you store vaccines with the right temperature, and alway use styro box or cooler in transporting them.

In times of epedemics, its good to stay away from crowded places.

The superficial runny nose of chick and chickens can be far more complicated inside which causes mortality.

Usually affected are the upper respiratory tract(green, sinus) and the lower respiratory(yellow-trachea, air sacs).

Commonly limited in the upper tract are cases of CORYZA having cheesy core mucuos, parehas sa ga burot nga mata.

The lower part may also have sticky mucous, commonly caused by MYCOPLASMOSIS.
Mao ni rason ngano mag hagal ang manok kai lisud i ginhawa kai barado ang trachea. Mag.ubo sab to try to expel the sticky mucous.

Tungod sa sip.on, hilanat ug infection opportunistic effection with E. COLI may happen showing white fibrinous deposits in the heart leading to more mortalities.

VACCINATION is key to pre vention and always make sure feeders and waterers are cleaned and disinfected.

*Diagnosis is presumptive based on clinical signs.

UNDERSTANDING FOWL CHOLERA

SIGNS:
• Inflammation (pag hubag) and cyanosis (pag lagum) sa tapay
°ruffled feather
°loss of appetite
° sudden death (kalit nga pagkamatay)
• Odored yellow diarrhea (baho nga pag pangete)
• Swollen Joints and lameness(pag hubag sa mga joints ug pagkihud)
• nasal and ocular discharge (pag luha2, ug sip.on)
°torticollis (pag tuyok sa liog)

TRANSMISSION: direct contact with birds, exudates, aerosols, airborne dust, contaminated soil, people or equipment. Other animals especially pigs in the vicinity.

CAUSATIVE AGENT: Pasteurella multocida

AFFECTED BIRDS: primarily adult birds for harvest, stags and breeding stock.

PREVENTION: Vaccination with Killed P. Multocida bacterin of 3-4 mos old chickens

TREATMENT and MANAGEMENT: Depopulation, antibiotics

Note: vaccine and antibiotuc use is subject to veterinary prescription.
