🐾Another furry life saved! 🐾

Meet Mochi, a brave 2-month-old puppy who was brought in during emergency hours. Diagnosed with parvoviral enteritis at another clinic and not fully vaccinated, Mochi's young immune system was struggling to fight off the infection. She was showing severe signs, including bloody diarrhea and significant weakness. Lab results confirmed she was dehydrated.

Timing is crucial, and early detection saves lives. We advised immediate confinement for close observation and aggressive fluid therapy. After just two days, we saw remarkable improvement. Mochi was then sent home with continued medication to be administered in the comfort of her loving family's care.

Mochi is a true fighter. Her recovery wouldn't have been possible without the full trust and cooperation of her owners. Handling parvoviral infections comes with no guarantees, but we strive to stabilize and support our patients to the best of our abilities. Celebrating these victories, we are reminded of why we do what we do. Another life saved despite the odds!

Thank you, God!

Meet U: A True Fighter 🐾

U, a 7-year-old female dog, recently came to us in dire need. After a thorough physical examination, detailed history from her loving owner, and comprehensive lab work, U was diagnosed with pyometra. Unfortunately, her condition had progressed, leading to severe complications. Her lab results revealed low platelet counts, increasing the risk of bleeding during surgery, and liver issues were also detected.

We discussed the urgency of the situation with U's owner, emphasizing the need for immediate surgery due to the severity of her condition. Although the initial plan was to wait a day, we rescheduled the surgery to the earliest acceptable time to maximize her chances.

During the surgery, upon making an incision along the linea alba, we discovered a ruptured uterus with brownish fluid oozing out like a fountain, indicating septic peritonitis. A thorough exploratory laparotomy revealed petechiae on the small intestine, and the omentum was heavily contaminated with pus and blood, appearing necrotic. We performed an omentectomy to remove the dead tissue and flushed the area to eliminate contaminants.

The surgery was extremely complicated, but we successfully removed U's uterus, which weighed 1 kg—quite significant for a 10 kg dog. Despite her high fever and critical condition, U's resilience shone through.

Today, U is on her third post-operative day under our care. She is receiving aggressive antibiotic and fluid therapy, along with protocol medications and potent pain relievers. Against all odds, she is beginning to respond, showing incredible strength and determination to survive.

U's journey is a testament to the trust of her owner and the unwavering presence of divine intervention during those crucial moments. Her family eagerly awaits her return home, and we are doing everything possible to ensure she makes it.

Let's all send U our love and prayers for a full recovery. 💖

🚨 Protecting Our Patients from Distemper Virus 🚨

To ensure the safety and health of all our patients, we conduct an initial assessment before allowing pets inside the clinic. If your pet shows signs of nasal (nose)👃🏿discharge or ocular (eye)👁️ discharge, we may stop you from entering the clinic. These symptoms are common indicators of the highly contagious and often fatal Distemper virus.

What is Distemper Virus?

Canine Distemper is a serious viral disease that affects dogs' respiratory, gastrointestinal, and central nervous systems. The virus spreads through airborne exposure (coughs, sneezes) and direct contact with infected animals or contaminated surfaces.

Why We Implement Strict Protocols

Distemper is extremely contagious and poses a significant threat to our confined and immunocompromised patients. We must take every precaution to prevent its spread within our clinic.

We have encountered a lot of Distemper cases recently. If your pets manifest the clinical signs mentioned, please give us a heads up or call us prior to coming. This way, we can send assistance outside the clinic and ensure you are well-assisted by our team.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but your cooperation is crucial in protecting the health of all pets in our care.

Thank you for understanding and helping us maintain a safe environment.

🚨 Urgent Pet Health Alert! 🚨

We recently admitted a patient suspected of ingesting rat poison🐀☠️. The poor pet exhibited severe symptoms, including seizures, backward arching of the neck, and bleeding from various orifices. Despite receiving aggressive fluid therapy, antidotes, and protocol medications💊, it was too late as a day had passed before she was brought in. Unfortunately, this dangerous situation can escalate quickly.

The loving owners didn't even know how their pet reached the poison or if someone had put it near her place. This incident highlights the critical importance of early intervention. There's only so much we can do if the toxins have already caused irreversible damage.

We appreciate the love the owners had for their pet; despite the slim chances of survival, they still opted to have her treated. Their dedication reminds us of the deep bond we share with our companion pet.

Rat poison🐀☠️ ingestion is life-threatening and requires immediate medical attention. If you suspect your pet has ingested even a small amount of rat poison, don't wait—bring them in for a checkup ASAP. Early action can save lives!

Stay vigilant and keep all toxic substances out of reach of your furry friends. 🐾❤️

Its Rainy Season, Be extra careful during this time, wet season is Parvo season. Our miracle patient.

🐾Daisy's Battle Against Parvo: A Tale of Hope and Resilience🐾

We recently had a brave little patient named Daisy come in for a check-up. Her loving owner noticed signs of weakness, so we performed a thorough physical examination and took her history. Routine lab work was done to get a clear picture of what was going on inside Daisy's body.

After assessing her clinical signs, we had a tentative diagnosis. Daisy's owner decided to follow our recommendations, hoping for favorable lab results. Unfortunately, the tests confirmed our fears: Daisy had Parvovirus, one of the most life-threatening diseases for puppies. Our hearts sank with the diagnosis, knowing her immunity was not at its strongest.

We had a heartfelt discussion with Daisy's furparent, explaining the pros and cons, the treatment options, and the chances of survival. They were devastated but decided to trust us with Daisy's life. We prepared her for confinement, administering the ideal fluids to prevent dehydration and electrolyte imbalances, and made sure her family understood every step.

Soon after, Daisy showed severe symptoms of bloody diarrhea and vomiting. We responded with aggressive fluid therapy and medications to counter the clinical signs. Throughout her journey, our entire team stood by Daisy, holding onto the thin line of hope.

After days of tender loving care, Daisy miraculously pulled through. She wanted to live, to be with her family. Against all odds, she fought and won. We couldn’t be happier for her and her family.

We are incredibly grateful to God for this unbelievable result, and to Daisy's loving family for entrusting us with their little angel. This victory is a testament to the power of love, care, and resilience.

💪🏻Hugo’s Journey to Recovery🎉

Hugo recently came to our clinic for a check-up due to some unusual behavior noticed by his loving owner. After conducting routine lab work, we diagnosed his condition and developed a tailored medication plan specifically for him.

We confine patients only when necessary. In Hugo’s case, after a day of observation, he was sent home with continued medication to ensure his comfort and recovery in a stress-free environment. Critical care and confinement are only required if the condition is severe and needs further observation and access to emergency medications within the clinic.

We are grateful for the trust and confidence Hugo’s owner placed in us. Their vigilance and quick action were crucial in diagnosing and treating Hugo’s discomfort.

Thank you for allowing us to care for your beloved pet.

Pregnant Dog🐶 Alert: Z**i's Story

If your beloved dog is expecting, it's crucial to have her regularly checked by a trusted vet. Our sweet corgi, Z**i, had been scratching and showing nesting behaviors since yesterday. However, she did not show signs of contractions and couldn't give birth within the day, prompting her owners to bring her to our clinic.

We conducted a routine check-up and recommended an ultrasonography to ensure the puppies' health. Our head vet assessed the situation and decided that surgery was necessary due to the risk of complications from the delayed birth. Time was of the essence; if Z**i had been brought in any later, the puppies might not have survived, and Z**i herself would have faced an increased risk of toxemia.

We're happy to report that Z**i and her puppies were delivered just in the nick of time, and both mom and pups are doing well.

Always monitor your pregnant pets closely and consult with your vet to ensure a safe delivery.

Zeeko: The Fluffy Little Fighter's Triumph

Meet Zeeko, our brave 2-year-old warrior who recently came in for emergency care. From the moment he arrived, we knew this fluffy fighter had a tough battle ahead. After running tests based on his symptoms, Zeeko was diagnosed with canine coronavirus. He was experiencing severe symptoms, including bloody diarrhea and vomiting. A microscopic examination of his stool revealed mucosal sloughing of the colon.

Zeeko was feisty at first, but beneath his spirited exterior was a heart of a fighter. We immediately started aggressive fluid therapy and provided medications to combat his symptoms. Despite the tough road, Zeeko's resilience shone through. With every passing day, he grew stronger, allowing us to shower him with tender loving care.

Zeeko's transformation was nothing short of miraculous. His determination and the love from our team helped him recover. Today, we're thrilled to share that Zeeko has returned home to his loving mom, who couldn't be happier to have her little warrior back.

Thank you for trusting us with Zeeko's care. His journey reminds us why we strive to provide the highest standard of veterinary services every day. Here's to many more happy, healthy days for Zeeko!

🌟 A Heartwarming Tale of Bravery and Hope 🌟

We recently had an emergency patient who captured our hearts. This brave fur baby was diagnosed with pyometra, but her case was far from typical. It was a closed type that had ruptured inside her abdomen, causing severe contamination with pus and blood.

The surgery was incredibly challenging due to the extent of the contamination. Our team worked diligently, following strict protocols to manage this delicate situation. We knew the odds were against her and told her loving parents about the slim chance of survival.

But this little warrior had an incredible spirit. Post-operative care included aggressive antibiotics and fluid therapy, and despite the odds, she began to recover. She started eating her recovery meals and even wagged her tail, as if it was just a walk in the park for her.

While she is still on her journey to full recovery, the signs before her discharge were very positive. We are hopeful and praying for her complete recovery. We can’t wait to see her again for her regular vaccinations or routine deworming, healthy and happy.

Join us in sending positive thoughts and love for her continued recovery. 💕🐾

🚨 Emergency Case: Puppy Ingests Sewing Needle! 🚨

We recently had a heart-stopping emergency when a 3-month-old puppy came in after swallowing a sewing needle. The X-ray revealed the needle was lodged along the lining of the esophagus, just behind the epiglottis—the critical organ that prevents food and liquid from entering the airways.

Our little patient was in extreme discomfort, showing signs like abdominal tucking and kyphosis. We knew we had to act fast. During the delicate procedure, we remained hopeful that the needle hadn’t moved further into the gastrointestinal tract. After a thorough examination, we spotted a small line hanging down the throat. It turned out to be a string attached to the needle!

With great care and steady hands, we slowly pulled out the string, praying it wouldn't break. The needle had penetrated soft tissue and was not visible, making the removal exceptionally challenging. By God's grace, we successfully extracted the needle completely!

We are overjoyed to report that our brave little patient wagged his tail with extreme satisfaction as he went home to his loving parents. This difficult and delicate procedure ended in a happy reunion, and we couldn't be prouder of our team's effort and expertise.

Thank you for trusting us with your furry family members. Your support enables us to tackle these complex cases and ensure your pets receive the best care possible.

🚨 Emergency Case: Pyometra in a 3-Year-Old Cat 🚨

We recently had an emergency case where a 3-year-old cat was diagnosed with pyometra, a serious and life-threatening infection of the uterus. Through a detailed check-up and ultrasonography, our team identified the condition promptly.

The Importance of Fostering Positive Relationships in Veterinary Care

At Happy Tails Veterinary Clinic, our mission has always been to provide exceptional care and support for our beloved animal patients and their owners. Our team dedicates countless hours to ensure the health and well-being of your pets, often going above and beyond to deliver the best possible service. Unfortunately, there are times when the relationships we work so hard to build are undermined.

Recently, we have experienced a challenging situation with a previous client who has not only left an outstanding balance but also spread misleading information about our clinic. This has resulted in a detrimental impact on our business and the trust we strive to establish with our clients.

Regrettably, this is not the first time we have faced such issues. In the past, other clients have also left unpaid balances and spread misinformation. Until now, we have chosen to remain silent, hoping to resolve these matters quietly and maintain our commitment to kindness and understanding. However, we feel that our kindness has been taken advantage of, and it is time to address the impact this behavior has on our clinic.

We understand that financial difficulties can arise, and we are always willing to work with our clients to find a solution. However, it is essential for the sustainability of our clinic that outstanding balances are settled and that our reputation is preserved.

We appreciate the trust and support of our loyal clients, who understand the value of maintaining a positive and respectful relationship. Together, we can continue to provide the best possible care for your furry family members.

Help us keep those tails wagging.

🐾 Understanding Respiratory Distress in Puppies 🐾

Today, we encountered a critical case that highlights the importance of recognizing signs of respiratory distress in our beloved pets. Little Pem was rushed to our clinic in an emergency state, exhibiting alarming behaviors such as raising its head as if grasping for air after receiving supportive feeding with milk. Upon examination, we observed a concerning symptom: cyanosis, characterized by the blue discoloration of the skin.

Respiratory distress in puppies can be caused by various factors, including infections, congenital defects, or aspiration of milk into the lungs during feeding. In this case, the puppy's struggle to breathe and cyanotic skin indicate a severe lack of oxygen.

As pet parents, it's crucial to be vigilant and responsive to signs of distress in our furry companions. If you notice your puppy exhibiting difficulty breathing, unusual behaviors, or cyanosis, seek immediate veterinary attention. Early intervention is essential in managing respiratory issues and ensuring the best possible outcome for your pet.

Our dedicated team is here to provide the necessary care and support for pets in critical situations like this one. Together, let's prioritize the health and well-being of our furry family members. Stay informed, stay proactive, and always trust your instincts when it comes to your pet's health. 🐾
