To observe social distancing protocols:

1. We encourage clients to make an appointment by contacting us @ 032 254 6226 / 0936 415 8860 / 0921 229 6819.
2. Only 1 person is allowed to accompany the patient.
3. Wearing a protective MASK is vehemently required upon entering the clinic.

With the summer months just around the corner have you noticed an increasing cases of fleas, ticks and lice infestation on your pets at home? Well, well, well... the warmer weather has arrived and fleas and other external parasites are appearing on our pets everywhere! Being a tropical country, every year we see a large emergence of fleas and other parasites especially at this time of the year leading to itchy and irritated pets when they need not suffer!
Fleas are small bugs that are often hard to see with the naked eye. They are reddish-brown in colour. Fleas move very quickly and they can hop up to 6 feet, but cannot fly. Fleas are parasites that live off the blood of a host. They are commonly found on dogs and cats but also do bite humans. Remember, the fleas on your animal are just a fraction of the total number fleas with up to twenty times that amount living in the environment - that means your house, their beds and even worse, your bed! All pets in the house should be regularly treated for fleas, particulary over the summer period and before the problem gets worse.
