🐔💔🐾 In the wake of the senseless tragedy that befell Killua, a beloved Golden Retriever, our hearts are heavy with sorrow and outrage. Such cruelty highlights the urgent need for compassion and action in treating all animals.
In a striking contrast to this darkness, the story of Sheena, a chicken battling lameness, shines a light on the heroism and kindness inherent in those who stand for animal welfare. Brought to the Animal Clinic of Davao by a compassionate owner, Sheena's journey from vulnerability to recovery under the care of Doc Ching and her team is a powerful testament to what love and dedicated care can achieve.
This moment is a call to action. It's a reminder that every animal, from the loyal dog to the humble chicken, deserves our care and respect. The courage of Sheena's owner in seeking help and the relentless advocacy of individuals fighting for animal rights inspires us to push for a world where tragedies like Killua's are no more.
Today, let us condemn violence against our animal brethren and celebrate those who emerge as true heroes in their commitment to animal welfare.

Vaccinations are crucial for protecting pets against various diseases, but like any medical procedure, they can carry a risk of allergic reactions. These reactions can range from mild to severe and may include symptoms such as swelling, itching, hives, difficulty breathing, vomiting, or diarrhea.
If your pet experiences an allergic reaction to a vaccination, it's important to act quickly. Contact your veterinarian immediately! Prompt veterinary care is essential in managing allergic reactions to vaccinations. Your veterinarian can administer medications such as antihistamines or steroids to alleviate symptoms and provide supportive care as needed. In severe cases, your pet may require emergency treatment, including oxygen therapy or intravenous fluids.
Always monitor your pet closely after vaccinations for any signs of allergic reactions. Knowing the signs and acting swiftly can help ensure your pet receives the necessary medical attention and recovers quickly.

Keeping your pets dry during rainy days is essential for their comfort and health. Here are some tips to help you achieve that:
1. Provide Shelter: Ensure your pets have access to shelter such as a covered porch, garage, or a dog house where they can stay dry during rain showers.
2. Use Rain Gear: Invest in pet raincoats or waterproof jackets to keep your pets' fur dry while they're outside. Additionally, consider using pet-sized umbrellas or rain boots to protect their paws.
3. Towel Dry: When your pets come indoors after being in the rain, towel dry them thoroughly to remove excess moisture from their fur. Pay extra attention to their paws and underbelly.
4. Limit Outdoor Time: Minimize your pets' outdoor exposure during heavy rainstorms. Instead, engage them in indoor activities to keep them entertained and exercised.
5. Dry Bedding: Ensure your pets have dry bedding to rest on. If they spend time outdoors, provide them with a sheltered area containing dry bedding to retreat to during rainy weather.
6. Groom Regularly: Regular grooming helps to maintain your pets' coat health and waterproofing abilities. Brushing helps to remove excess fur and distributes natural oils that can help repel water.
7. Use Moisture-Resistant Flooring: If your pets spend a lot of time outdoors or in a specific area of your home during rainy days, consider using moisture-resistant flooring to keep their living environment dry and comfortable.
8. Drying Station: Set up a designated drying station near the entrance of your home for your pets. Keep towels and possibly a hairdryer (on a low setting) handy to dry them off quickly when they come inside.
9. Check for Moisture-related Issues: After rainy days, check your pets for any signs of moisture-related issues such as fungal infections, hot spots, or skin irritation. Consult your veterinarian if you notice any concerns.
By following these tips, you can help ensure that your pets stay dry and comfortable during rainy days, promot

Zebby, a precious little stray kitten, found her forever home with a loving owner who adored her from the moment they laid eyes on her. However, their journey together hit a bump when Zebby started showing concerning signs of inappetence, lethargy, and diarrhea.
Realizing that something was wrong, Zebby's owner wasted no time and took her to the trusted veterinarian, Doc Ching. Understanding the urgency, Doc Ching conducted a thorough examination and ran necessary tests to determine the cause of Zebby's ailments. The diagnosis revealed that Zebby was battling multiple health issues. She had roundworm, giardiasis, and feline coronavirus. These conditions were responsible for her lack of appetite, low energy levels, and gastrointestinal distress.
With the help of Doc Ching's expertise, a comprehensive treatment plan was put in place to combat each specific condition. Zebby received appropriate medications to eliminate the roundworm and combat the giardiasis. While feline coronavirus has no specific cure, supportive care and monitoring were provided to ensure Zebby's overall well-being.
As the treatment progressed, Zebby's health began to improve significantly. She regained her appetite, became more active, and her diarrhea gradually subsided. The quick response and attentiveness of her owner played a vital role in Zebby's recovery.
Today, Zebby is a happy, healthy, and vibrant kitten, ready to return home and continue her life filled with love and joy.
May Zebby's story inspire others to remain attentive to their pet's well-being and seek professional help whenever their furry friends display signs of illness.

Paddie, is a 2 year old Golden Retriever who was trained by his owners at home. Watch the video to enjoy his performance :)
Dog training at home is an effective way to teach and reinforce desired behaviors in your canine companion. It involves establishing clear communication, setting consistent rules, and using positive reinforcement techniques. Key aspects of training include teaching basic commands like sit, stay, and come, as well as addressing behavior issues such as leash pulling or excessive barking. By using rewards such as treats, praise, and playtime, you can motivate your dog to learn and respond to commands. Regular, short training sessions and patience are crucial for success. Training at home helps strengthen the bond between you and your dog and promotes good behavior both inside and outside the house.

Princess came in the clinic in lateral recumbency, very weak and had low rectal temperature. Doc Ching, performed a thorough examination of Princess, including history taking with the owner. She administered glucose to Princess intravenously, to raise her blood sugar levels and provided hot water bag to normalize her temperature. Afterwards, she was back up again to her normal self and is walking in the clinic “as if nothing happened”.
Hypoglycemia is a condition in which the blood sugar levels in a puppy/kitten drop too low. It can be caused by factors such as diarrhea and inappetence, which can prevent the puppy/kitten from getting enough glucose. This condition is especially common in toy breed puppies, and can lead to symptoms such as weakness, lethargy, confusion, seizures, and even coma. When your pet shows sign of hypoglycemia, it is important to seek immediate veterinary attention.

As the dry season approaches and temperatures start to rise, it's important to keep an eye on our furry friends. Heat stroke is a serious concern for cats and dogs, and it's important to understand the symptoms and know how to prevent it.
Heat stroke occurs when a pet's body temperature rises above its normal range and the body's cooling mechanisms are unable to keep up. This can lead to organ damage and even death. Cats and dogs are particularly vulnerable to heat stroke because they don't sweat like humans do and rely on panting to cool down.
Symptoms of heat stroke in cats and dogs can include excessive panting, drooling, rapid heartbeat, red or pale gums, weakness, confusion, vomiting, and collapse. If you suspect your pet is experiencing heat stroke, it's important to act quickly.
The first step is to move your pet to a cooler location, such as an air-conditioned room or a shaded area with a fan. You can also apply cool water to your pet's body, but be careful not to use ice-cold water as this can cause the body to go into shock. You should also offer your pet cool, but not cold, water to drink.
It's important to seek veterinary care as soon as possible if your pet is experiencing heat stroke. This can be a medical emergency and your pet may need intravenous fluids and other treatments to stabilize their condition.
Preventing heat stroke is the best approach. Here are some tips to keep your pets safe during hot weather:
Keep your pets indoors during the hottest part of the day. This is typically between 10am and 4pm.
Provide plenty of fresh, cool water for your pets to drink.
Make sure your pets have access to shade and cool areas to rest.
Avoid exercising your pets during the hottest part of the day. Instead, take them for walks in the early morning or late evening when it's cooler.
Never leave your pet in a parked car. Even with the windows cracked, the temperature inside a car can reach dangerous levels in just a few minutes.
