Take a closer look at the preserved animals I helped reconstruct for the dioramas at the National Museum of the Philippines - Davao. I’m truly proud to have contributed to the zoological vitrines that showcase Mindanao’s incredible biodiversity.

Did you know that taxidermy sparks ongoing debates? While some view it as a meticulous art form serving education, conservation, historical preservation, or commemoration of deceased pets, others raise ethical concerns due to the lack of research distinguishing ethical from non-ethical taxidermy practices. Regardless, its primary purpose—preserving history and wildlife for future generations—remains undeniable. You might not fully appreciate its significance now, but the future certainly will.

That’s why visiting museums is so important! By the way, the National Museum of the Philippines - Davao is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at People’s Park, Davao City.

My last year has been a rollercoaster of challenges and growth. I opened a new art studio, only to move on to something even bigger and better shortly after. I secured significant commissions, faced tougher challenges, and leveled up my skills along the way. I met incredible people in the taxidermy craft, connected with wonderful pet owners, and reflected deeply on life and loss while witnessing the emotions of those who’ve said goodbye to their loved ones—whether pets or humans. Despite the hurdles, I embraced every challenge and emerged stronger.

As I look to the future, I am filled with gratitude for the trust and support of my customers, who have made this journey possible. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your stories and memories.

See you in 2025—I’m ready! Brown Butterfly is ready to soar higher! 🎉🎆🎊

Here’s a look at our Christmas project: restoring a tiger rug that’s been in a freezer for three years.

When fur slippage happens—where patches of fur fall off due to freezer burns and long cold storage—it can be tricky to fix. As you can see, this tiger’s fur loss needed careful cleaning and repair to match the original look.

Fur restoration takes patience, but it’s worth it to bring this piece back to life. Stay tuned for the final results! Merry Christmas everyone! 🌲🎅❤️
