Earlier today, I had the pleasure of attending Cemal’s 8th birthday — the beloved dog of Ma’am Michelle McQuigud. I first met Ma’am Michelle last year when she was deeply worried about Cemal, who was then sick and admitted to the vet. In her love and concern, she reached out to Brown Butterfly Taxidermy, hoping that if anything happened, she would still have a way to remember him.

Thankfully, Cemal is now doing well — healthier and happier than ever. I was truly honored to be invited to celebrate another year of his life, a blessing that Ma’am Michelle is deeply grateful for. 🙏❤️

Cemal has been her loyal companion ever since their time in the U.S., and even now, after moving to the Philippines, she continues to love and care for him like her own child. Moments like this remind me how deeply pets, especially dogs, become part of our families — true furbabies who give us the kind of love and companionship that mirrors that of a human relationship. 🐶🥰
