We should not make any rush decisions to try to rectify the situation. Never move a dog who is in the middle of having a seizure unless they are in a location or position where they could potentially hurt themselves. If that is the case and you do need to move them, just gently drag them by their hind legs to a safer spot.
You should only touch your dog or give them attention after they've stopped fitting and when it's safe to do so. You may instinctively want to comfort or hold your pet during a seizure but this is not recommended. Just remember, during a seizure, they're not in pain and don't know you're there.
Other Vet will recommend an antiepileptic drug if your pet has an average of two or more seizures per month, has one seizure that is very prolonged (more than five minutes), or has seizures which occur in a "cluster" (two or more seizures in one 24 hour period).
