Procedures done: (1) catheterization; (2) cystotomy; and (3) castration

Loki was brought to us because of difficulty in urinating (hirap sa pag ihi) and inappetence (walang gana kumain). Our team conducted necessary laboratory tests (CBC, xray, blood chemistry) to trace the cause of Loki’s symptoms. The results congruently showed presence of bladder stones that causes blockage which explains Loki’s difficulty in urinating and his lack of appetite.

First, catheterization was performed to flush back (inwardly) the blocked stones and also to drain fluids that accumulated in Loki’s bladder;

Second, cystotomy was performed to surgically incise the bladder and remove the stones;

Third and lastly, castration was likewise performed to prevent Loki from developing prostatitis (bacterial or non-bacterial illness in the pelvic region/inflammation or infection of the prostate).

All these were performed on one occasion and Loki has now fully recovered 💪🏽👏🏽

Patient: Hachi 🦮

Procedure: wound exploration and bullet extraction;

Background:

Hachi was brought to us because of a gunshot wound. Fortunately, we were able to extract the retained bullet from his hind limb without any complication. 🙏🏼

𝑾𝒉𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒚 🐶🐾

Wh**ey is a 15 year old Labrador suffering from a huge hanging skin mass. He was brought to our clinic yesterday, January 3, 2024. As per the owner, the patient still has good appetite but was in a lot of discomfort due to the mass he was carrying on his body. He was in pain and was walking uneasily.

Our resident veterinarian performed several examinations. Fortunately, his tumor/skin mass was growing outward and his blood results were all normal making him eligible for the surgery.

Surgery is the only way to remove the huge mass but due to Wh**ey’s senior age, administering conventional general anesthesia (IV sedation) is a huge risk. Fortunately, our clinic is equipped with gas anesthesia, which is considered more safe for our senior patients since the effects of the anesthesia wear off shortly after the mask is removed.

The surgery was successful and Wh**ey is currently on recovery stage, awaiting for his wound to completely heal. He can now walk and do his daily routine with ease. 👏🏽😊

The removed mass was sent out for biopsy. We’re all hoping and praying for a benign result. 🙏🏼

Below will be our schedule for New Year:

Firstly, tomorrow, December 31, 2024, we will be OPEN. However, we will only operate from 8:00am until 3:00pm. Nonetheless, any emergency case beyond the aforementioned period may still be accommodated. Just give us a call or send us a message at the following hotline numbers:

(1) Floridablanca branch: +63 969 411 9792;

(2) Telabastagan branch: (0919) 323 3216.

Secondly, on January 1, 2025, we will open a little bit later than usual (10:00am until 7:00pm). Again, any emergency case falling beyond the said period can still be entertained.

Lastly, on January 2, 2024 onwards, our normal schedule (8:00am - 6:00pm) and operations will resume.

Below will be our schedule this coming Christmas. Although stated on the pictures attached, we elaborate further:

On December 23, 2024, Monday (tomorrow), we will be open from 7:00am until 1:00pm. This is to pave way for our Christmas Party which will be held on the same day:

On December 24, 2024, Tuesday, we will be closed. However, we can still accommodate emergency cases, confinements, and pet hotel/boarding services since we have skeletal staff members present at our clinics that day;

On December 25, 2024, Wednesday, Christmas Day, we will be OPEN from 10:00am to 7:00pm. We will have complete and normal operations (grooming, check-ups, laboratory tests, confinements, pet hotel services, surgeries, etc.) that day.

On the other hand, our schedule for New Year will be posted after Christmas. 😊
