This year, we’re introducing something new.
Aside from providing quality and affordable veterinary and grooming consults/services for fur parents, we are hooking and inviting artists in speading and inculcating animal care to our community; most especially in these times of distress.
We encourage everyone to participate.
Little Shepherd’s 1st ART Contest
Topic: “Animals in disasters.”
Objectives
1. To provide an opportunity for the exposure of artists;
2. To spread and inculcate animal care to our community; To encourage and develop the creativity and artistic talents;
3. To raise awareness and appreciation of the community for animal care and;
4. To recognize the artistic excellence among the members of the community.
Deadline for submission of entries:
December 30, 2024

Online and On-site: January 4 - 18 2025
Announcement of Winners: March 4 2025
Awarding of Winners: JULY 12, 2025
Theme/Topic & Style
Topic: Animals in Disaster/s.
1. The artwork must have the image animals.
2. An entry is an artistic product of an individual. All artworks should be the original artistic creation of the participating artists.
3. Freedom of expression is granted to all contestants. Artworks with controversial, elements will be rejected outright.
4. The use of brand names and commercial endorsement is prohibited.
5. All other information such as the main title, theme, and the dates will be digitally added.
Eligibility and Registration
1. The contest is open to all.
2. Professional artists in the field of arts may participate but their entries will not be included in the judging. Artworks will still be displayed.
3. Submission of Artwork on-site & E-mail is considered as a form of registration.
Specifications of the Artwork
1. SIZE: 32 x 24 inches (without the frame)
2. MEDIUM: Acrylic, oil, watercolor, tempera, pastels, crayons, colored pencils, ink, charcoal, and mixed media (combination of all the above)
Submission of Requirements
1. Participants must provide the following:
a) Personal profile;
b) Photocopy of school ID, company ID, or alumni ID.
2. Submission via email and on-site
a) Participant should officially register by sending the required files (letters a &b above) along with attached documentation of artwork to [email protected]
b) Do not send more than one email.
c) Email subject: (Artwork) Last Name, First Name Example: (Artwork) Alonzo, Luna
3. In the event that the participant wishes to cancel his/her participation in the painting contest, he/she should notify prior to the date ofthe contest.
Criteria of judging
a) Thematic Relevance 30%
b) Originality 25%
c) Creativity 25%
d) Impact on Viewers 20%
A total of 100%
General Guidelines
1. The artwork must be an original work that is wholly conceptualized and executed by the participant. Designs which copied the composition of existing works will automatically be disqualified, even if they are rendered in a different style, medium, color scheme, or even if other elements have been added.
2. All entries are considered property of Little Shepherd.
3. Parent’s permission is required for participants below 18 years old.
4. Participants shall waive the rights of their painting in favor of Little Shepherd for general publication, promotional use and other purposes deemed necessary with proper and due acknowledgment and recognition of the painters.
5. Little Shepherd reserves the right to withdraw any award and/or cash prize at any time should the participant violate any of the rules and regulations of the contest or if it deems, in any way, that granting the participant the award will damage the reputation of the institution.
6. Failure to comply with the above rules and regulations shall automatically disqualify the participant/s.
7. By submitting and participating, participant agrees to abide by the rules and regulations of the contest.
Intellectual Property Rights
Little Shepherd Veterinary Clinic and Pet Salon shall have the perpetual rights over all the entries it may acquire, including the right to use, produce or reproduce, prepare derivatives works of the designs for whatever purpose and whichever form as may deemed fit by the institution without further compensation to the artist.
Furthermore, all participants may not use their entries for any other purpose or submit their entries to other competitions
