What’s the difference?
American Style of Breeding (2-way cross).
When breeding 2-way, you don’t distort so much of the characteristics of both bloodlines you breed together.
What happens is you will know which blood is more dominant than the other. Assuming the families are bred tight to begin with.
In this way, you’ll know which bloodline to go back to.
Normally the cutting and gameness will show prominently. Though the fighting style is one dimensional.
The uniformity of the produce is obvious and predictable. Higher percentage can be fought.
Filipino Style of Breeding (3-way cross).
Since long knife is a choice of weapon, breeders tend to create the fighting style in which the rooster is winnable in the pit. Smart, fly, wave, then hit.
Though there is a give. You lessen the number of roosters that are of standard. Both in physical and ability. The uniformity is sacrificed….WHY?
Since it’s a multi cross, the characteristics of the offsprings will vary. Depending on whose bloodline will be dominant in him/her.
In layman’s terms, the specimen is confused who he/she is.
At times the accuracy (cutting) is diminished by a few percentile compared to a 2-way cross. As well as gameness.
For a 3-way cross, I don’t advise to use them as a breeding material.
Their offsprings will vary.
God Bless Us All !!!
