No to vet shaming!!!
VET SHAMING IS REAL
We are alarmed to see a post circulating online which spreads misinformation and hatred against one of our veterinarians. Remember, there are always two sides to every story.
On February 19th, the patient was brought to the clinic for a consultation. The patient was SEVERELY EMACIATED, hypothermic, and was showing signs of dehydration. The owner stated that the cat was diarrheic and inappetent for 4 DAYS !!!! (after an accidental intake of water with zonrox bleach). Laboratory tests such as blood tests was advised, but the owners REFUSED. Which led us to prescribe medications symptomatically (based on the patient's symptoms and assessment).

That time, four medications were prescribed, but due to financial reasons the owner only availed one of those 4 meds. They even have the audacity to over exaggerate na "ang daming gamot", with the fact that they didn't even get to provide all of the meds their pet needed.
On February 21st, the owner returned to the clinic and finally gave their permission for us to perform blood test on their pet. Blood test result shows that the patient was having leukocytosis (infection), thrombocytopenia (low platelet count), and unfortunately, STAGE 4 KIDNEY FAILURE. With these findings, a new course of treatment was elected. Sadly, the patient passed away days after.

Bringing your pet to the vet when they are on the verge of their death and when a veterinarian fails to bring their babies to health you will hear lines like, βmali mali yung binigay na gamot kaya namatayβ, βnilagyan lang ng swero namatay naβ, βnamemera lang kayoβ and canβt even be thankful instead. They even had the courage to post it on social media to ruin the reputation of the clinic.
Before you get a pet, make sure you know how to be a responsible owner. If you noticed something unusual, take your pet to the vet immediately!! (wag na hintayin mag 4 days) And have the balls to stand for your negligence and for being an irresponsible owner.
Don't humiliate others to gain attention and sympathy. All we ask is to be respected and treated fairly. WE DO NOT TOLERATE UNFAIR/ERRONEOUS ACCUSATIONS.
Social media is not the right venue for this. If you think there is malpractice happened, you can always go to a public or private legal counsellor to help you go through the process.
As much as we grieve, please be responsible on what you are posting online. This is another Vet Shaming and False accusations πππππππΌπ½ππ π½π ππΌπ. We have decided to take legal actions.
