I enjoyed connecting with fellow rabbitry enthusiasts and industry professionals during the 2-day training. The engagement and enthusiasm from the participants from 14 barangays of Libona, Bukidnon were felt, and their interest in learning more about rabbitry was truly inspiring.

I also want to express my gratitude for the opportunity to learn from other speaker, Engr Reginald Allan S. Bagaipo and participants. It was a pleasure to hear their perspectives and experiences, and I believe that the event served as a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and networking within the rabbitry community.

Once more, I extend my appreciation to the participants for their active participation, thoughtful questions, and valuable contributions, it made the sessions dynamic and interactive, and I am grateful for their eagerness to absorb new information and share their own insights.

Lastly, I want to thank you personally for the trust and confidence you had in me as a resource speaker. It was an incredible privilege to be a part of Rabbitry in Libona and I am grateful for the opportunity.

Amid high pork and chicken prices, the Philippine government must now find a way to boost the production of alternative protein sources such as rabbit meat and plant-based food.

Based on a study published by the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), the high pork prices now, while painful and unfavorable to consumers, is an opportunity for the country to start exploring alternative protein sources.

“In the short run, this will be chicken, but it should be expanded to other options (i.e rabbit) but eventually plant-based sources of protein (i.e soybeans and nuts),” according to the study prepared by the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics of the College of Economics and Management of UPLB.
