I just want to share my two cents regarding this post and my experience with those who asked for donations.

There are different types of people who ask for donations at sasabihin para sa a*o. Maging mapanuri, it's sad but others make money from asking donations na para sa dog daw. There are also those who are really desperate and even though it's embarrassing they approach groups trying na makakuha ng tulong. (Mahirap po humingi ng donations, hindi rin nila kayo pipilitin mag donate sa kanila)

What I can say is, it's better to help others than to be helped by others. And like I said, be critical, don't just help, especially when it comes to money. Marami po talaga kasing budol budol ngayon mag ingat po kayo.

I often notice in groups that they only ask for home remedies or effective na solusyon to get rid of ticks, because they don't have the ability to treat their pets at the vet clinic. It's not because they lack money for their pets that we have to judge them and blame them and tell them na huwag mag alaga ng a*o o ipaampon nalang dahil they don't have money. We all deserve to have a dog especially if you are a responsible dog owner. Alam natin na loyal ang mga dogs at pauulanin ka talaga ng love kahit hindi mo sila mabigyan ng treats.

I talked to a homeless person before, I wanted to adopt his dog from him but he refused. His rea*on? he only has the dog at siya lang ang bukod tanging pamilya nito. Kahit nga daw wala silang makain minsan gumagawa siya ng paraan para mapakain ang a*o niya. So instead of adopting the dog, binigyan ko nalang siya ng pagkain at kibbles for his dog. The man was so happy, he even cried because of my little help even though he didn't really ask for my help. My point is that we all have our rea*ons kung bakit nag aalaga tayo ng a*o. Poverty is not an obstacle to have a dog that will never leave you na sasamahan ka talaga kahit nagugutom kayong dalawa. Anyway, his dog is healthy and his name is Cardo.

"He's not your kid."
As I tuck him in every night.
"He's not your kid."
As I make my breakfast, I scramble him up some eggies and make sure he gets the most important meal of the day.
"He's not your kid."
As I do my laundry, I make sure his blankets/jackets and bedding (he still sleeps with us every night in OUR bed) are also clean.
"He's not your kid."
As I nursed him back to his optimal health the first few months I had him.
"He's not your kid."
As I just changed my entire career and life so I could be home with him more during the days and save for our future because I was sick of seeing him so sad on the furbo.
"He's not your kid."
As I hang his coat/blanket (one of many) on the coat hanger next to ours.
"He's not your kid."
As I pick up all his toys and place them back on his bed for him to through them everywhere as soon as he wakes up from his nap.
"He's not your kid."
As I take him out yet again to play and run in the snow while my fingers are numb but he's only a puppy for so long.
"He's not your kid."
Yea, he's not my kid.
He's my heart. My world. My baby.
And for those who can't see the similarities between a puppy and a child and for those who really think a dog is really "just a dog," you must never have found your heart dog and I pray one day, you do.

What to Do About a Dog Nose Bleed
Is a dog nose bleed a sign of something serious — or could it be caused by something benign? Does a dog nose bleed always need vet attention?

One of the more unsettling respiratory symptoms, a dog nose bleed may have a variety of causes. Known scientifically as epistaxis, something as simple as a blade of grass stuck in your dog’s nose can cause a dog nose bleed. Or, a dog nose bleed may indicate that there’s something more serious going on — from infections to diseases to cancerous tumors.

A dog nose bleed could be a result of issues ranging from foreign bodies to infections. “It can be caused by trauma to the nose itself, foreign objects stuck in the nose or infections — most commonly fungal infections, but bacterial infections are also possible,

More serious causes of a dog nose bleed include tumors or even dental disease. Infections on the roots of the teeth can eat through into the nose and cause nasal bleeding or discharge.

A dog nose bleed can happen because of conditions that impact your pet’s entire body, such as high blood pressure. Blood clotting disorders, such as reactions to certain drugs or toxins, as well as tick-borne diseases may cause nose bleeds in dogs. “Nose bleeds can have many different causes that range in severity.

What Dogs Are at Risk for Nose Bleeds?
Certain breeds with inherited traits are more susceptible to nose bleeds. Doberman Pinschers can have an inherited trait that can lead to bleeding. Doberman Pinschers have the highest incidence of Von Willebrand’s disease, a common inherited bleeding disorder of dogs (and humans).

Dogs that are allowed to roam outdoors would also be more likely to having bleeding from the nose — these dogs are much more predisposed to trauma, having a tick attach and transmit a tick-borne disease, finding and ingesting anticoagulant rat bait, or inhaling foreign bodies such as grass awns. Additionally, young dogs are prone to trauma and toxicity-induced bleeding, while middle-aged and older dogs are prone to immune-mediated diseases — which can also cause a nose bleed in dogs.

When your dog has a nose bleed, recognizing whether the bleeding is unilateral or bilateral — in other words, whether it’s coming from one or both nostrils — plays a big role in how your dog is diagnosed and treated. If your pet is bleeding from only one nostril, it may indicate that the bleeding is due to a tooth abscess or a benign or cancerous mass on one side of the face, or a foreign body that a dog inhaled and got lodged in one side of the nose. Often, dogs with inhaled foreign bodies — such as grass awns — in their noses will paw at their faces, sneeze or gag, and may make noisy breathing sounds in addition to having bloody noses,

On the other hand, dogs with congenital or acquired diseases of the clotting system, fungal or bacterial nasal infections, or trauma to the nose often have bleeding from both sides of the nose, A nose bleed could be caused by your pet simply running or bumping into something, or it could be a much more serious condition, such as a fungal infection or cancer,

If the owner has witnessed mild trauma to the dog’s nose resulting in a mild abrasion to the inside of the nose and subsequent bleeding — like if a dog turns the corner too fast coming down the stairs and scrapes himself in the stairwell — then the owner could gently clean the area, apply pressure and monitor the dog … however, in the majority of circumstances, bleeding from the nose requires veterinary attention. The definitive source and cause of the bleeding needs to be determined to halt the bleeding and minimize further blood loss.”

For more serious causes that require veterinary care, your veterinarian will likely provide a thorough physical exam, and may conduct blood work as well as possibly an X ray, CT scan or MRI depending on the suspected cause of the nose bleed, Placing your dog under anesthesia may help to fully examine your dog’s mouth, nose and upper airway.

Treatment of a dog nose bleed will vary widely depending on the cause. A tick-borne disease may require antibiotics, a tooth root abscess or a benign polyp might call for anesthesia and a removal of the tooth or mass, and a clotting disorder due to the ingestion of a toxin such as rat bait is treated with blood products to replace lost blood and administered an antidote,

I don't agree with Cane Corso. Yes they are big dog but they can be so gentle. It's depends how you raise your dog. It is not easy but it is worth it.
